Everything will be okay

Chapter 17

Jamari

3 days Later

"Jamari you have to eat something". Devin said sitting next to me.

"I'm okay Devin". I told him reading a booklet.

"I know you are sad but you cannot only think about yourself you have someone else to feed". He said staring at my belly.

"I know Devin I'll eat in a minute".

I put my booklet down and started thinking about Jayonna. I cannot do nothing but wait until I'm 18.

Devin stood up and went somewhere. After he left I checked to see what Legend texted me. I have 2 interviews coming up hopefully I can get it for me and this child.

Legend: Can I take you out today

I read the message and put my phone down . Something not right about him either. I got up and looked out the window and seen some little kids running around outside. I started thinking about Jayonna . I hope she's okay and eating still .

I was about to go sit down but someone started knocking on the door. I looked up stairs and Devin was no where in sight . I unlocked the door and some girl was standing there.

"Is Devin here?". She said smiling at me.

"Yeah come in". I told her.

Devin came from the Basement and started smiling at the girl.

The girl walked over and gave him a kiss on the lips.

Damn, my feelings hurt

He glanced at me and kinda pulled her off him. I picked up my phone and left out the house to get some air .  I didn't know he had a girlfriend , he always says he single but I guess not.

Legend started calling my phone again. I decided to just answer.

"Hello". I said kicking a rock .

"Can I come see you?". He said.

"Um yeah can you meet me at CVS by the Post Office?". I told him.

"Yeah I'm in that area, I'll see you then".

"Alright".

I crossed the street and walked over to the CVS and waited until Legend came.Devin texted me asking me where I went but I didn't reply . I need to stop worrying about him. I wasn't his and I have to face it, that little thought I had went away .

Legend came within minutes, I'm glad I didn't have to wait. I walked over to his car and got in .

I looked over at him and he was looking... Mighty Good. 

"Jamari you like Hamburgers and stuff like that ?". He said pulling out of the parking lot.

"Yes". I told him.

Maybe this will make me eat and stuff. Legend started talking about my brother which was so annoying . I do not care about what he is doing, I'm pretty sure he's knows this but he wanna keep going on about it.
