I looked out the car window, watching. I was out of the safe zone.
There was no sign of them. I would usually notice them, behind a tree or behind something whenever I went to school. I never saw they're face, all I knew it had a human form. It never got close to me, but, still it followed me. What did it want with me?
"Don't worry. I will protect you even if it costs me my life, " Johnny said with concerned eyes trying to reassure me.
The only problem was, I don't know who to trust anymore. Johnny was my childhood friend, but ever since he became my body guard he started to act differently although, the difference was suttle.
" How long till we get there?"
" The apartment your parents rented out for us, shouldn't be too far away. I hope you packed your school supplies, your going to need it," he smirked.
" Of course, I did! And its not school, its university! Stop treating me like a kid," I said annoyed.
" Besides, your going to need it too, we're doing the same course in the same university,"
" Finished, ranting? You get way too winded up too easily " he said and laughed.

I heard Johnny shouting my name in the distance. I wanted to reply but I had no energy. Johnny shook me lightly and said my name once more, and my eyes flickered open.
Did I fall asleep? I don't remember even falling asleep.
"Kayla, we're here."
And now to a new beginning.
