Recap:
"Thanks Diggy, the way you stood up for me back there was really sweet. I appreciate it." I told him. He pulled me into a hug which was kind of unexpected but nice. "Anything for a friend right?" He smiled. "Right."
"So that, Justin kid beats you up? On a day to day basis?" He seemed concerned. "Yeah, but I can handle myself, I'm a big girl." I told him in an unsure tone. "Naomi, you don't seem that way, and I really, really want to help you." He told me.
I was curious about this, but at the same time I didn't want to get let down. "Diggy, you've only known me for like what? An hour? But you want to help me? Like really help me?" I was throwing all of these questions at him. We stopped in the hallway for a second. "Yes Naomi, I really want to help you, and all I'm asking is for your trust. And if you're willing to give it to me I won't let you down." He took a deep breath and just starred at my face.
"Okay Diggy, you have it. I'm letting you in on my background and my past and I'm hoping that you don't let me down." I smiled. "But come on we can't be late to class.
We proceeded to walk the halls to Mr. Jones class and once we got there we took our seats.
Diggy kept me company through out the day, and at lunch, we sat together. I was in my last period, and really worried about my after school walk because of Justin and his friends. He might beat me up worse than ever because of the way Diggy stood up for me.
The bell rung and we were released from class. "Don't forget your homework page 33 and your summary on the Civil War." I nodded my head making a mental note of the homework assignment and walking out of the class.
I walked out of class with my head down trying my best to be unseen by Justin, only because I would like to walk home safely today with no problems whatsoever.
