Before the Celebration

You follow along side the Prince as he escorts you back to your room. You can't stop thinking about the awkward moment when you were squished up against him in his magic lab.

Ughhh, that was so awkward and embarrassing. But the Prince didn't seem bothered by it at all, does he. . . like me? Wait (Y/n) you are jumping to conclusions, maybe he just really wasn't bothered by it. You think to yourself.

"(Y/n), we're here," Prince Adalric says interrupting your thoughts.
"Oh thanks," You say.
"You aren't going to tell them about the magic in the lab right?" Prince adalric asks.
"Mhm, yeah," You say not really paying attention since you just want to be away from the Prince right now and hopefully the memory of the awkward "closeness" to him.
"Alright then, see you at the Celebration," Prince Adalric says.
"Bye!" You say.

You rush into your room and shut the door behind you. You walk into the room and see Kaija sitting in a chair, Erin sitting on the bed with her back against the wall, and Grace laying out on the end of the bed.

"Hey guys," You say.
"(Y/n)!" All your friends say at once.

They all jump off the bed and out of the chair and come hug you.

"Where were you?" Grace asks.
"Where did you go?" Kaija asks.
"What happened?" Erin asks.
"Okay I'll tell only if you make sure to not tell anyone, deal?" You say.

Your friends nod their heads.

"Okay, so the Prince came into my room and me brought to this secret place-" You say but get cut off.
"Oh my gosh, what did he do to you?" Erin asks.
"Are you okay?" Kaija asks.
"If you tell Ciel what happened would he get mad?" Grace asks.
"Hold on, let me tell you," You say slightly annoyed. "Okay, so in this secret place-"
"Where was this secret place?" Grace asks.
"What did it look like?" Erin asks.

Kaija doesn't ask anything because she knew to be quiet and let you tell the story.

"Shut up! I'm gonna tell you! Just wait!" You shout. "Alright, I promised him to not tell anyone about the secret place so I won't, sorry," You say.
"Aww," Grace and Erin both say.
"So anyway, while we were there, he taught me how to do magic," You inform.

Grace raises her hand.

"Yes Grooce?" You ask.
"But there isn't any magic in Black Butler is there? There aren't really any fairies in it too right?" Grace asks.
"Well, first of all, they're not fairies, they're pixies and they're very sensitive about that. Second of all, I don't think magic and pixies are in Black Butler, at least not in the anime," You reply.

Erin now raises her hand.

"Yes Egg?" You ask.
"Show us the magic!" She says.
"Ok, let's see what should I do? Hm. I don't know how to do much, but I'll try to make a small flame appear on my finger." You say.

You concentrate on the magic. You decide to say a few words to help you.

"Close around me where magic may linger, please come together to make a small flame upon my finger," You quietly say.

Just then, a small flame appears and floats above your pointer finger. Your friends look at it in awe. You blow out the flame, scared something bad will happen.

"Woah, so you can do magic, cool beans, it'll surely come in handy," Grace says.
"Yup," you say a little proud of your begginner abilities.
"Probably wouldn't be able to beat my demon powers though," Grace points out.
"Yeah, whatever," You say.
"Okay, continue your story," Kaija says.
"Alright, let's see where was I? Oh yeah! That was it, we just walked back here and here I am now," You say.

You skipped the part about You and the Prince being "close together" because you felt that they didn't really need to know that.

"So now that I answered most of your questions, now you have to answer mine. How did you get them to let you all stay in the same room?" You ask.
"Well a little bit after we got our dresses, apperently Grace dashed out of the room while the servant was closing the door. And the servant tried to keep her in the room but Grace wouldn't let that happen, so she quickly went into Egg's room which was next to her room." Kaija informs.

Then Erin picks up the story from there.

"And when she came in, she slammed the door shut and blocked it with herself so that they wouldn't drag her back. She told me the plan to get into Kaija's room which was 'I'll distract them while you run into Kai's room, then I'll run in after you and then you make sure to hold the door shut then we'll tell Kai the next plan.'"

Grace picks up the story from Erin.

"So that's what we did. When we got into Kai's room, it was the same plan except we run into your room. But then when we broke into your room you weren't there, we were gonna look for you but that would mean we would run into the servants and we didn't want to do that, so we just locked the door and waited till you came back." Grace says finishing the story.
"Uh, okay," You say not completely sure how to react to the story. "Well, uh, I just wanted to say something we should do before Erin's Queen Coronation ball tomarrow, it's completely off topic, but I think we should pay a visit to Marchioness Francis Midford, also known as, Elizabeth's mom." You say the last two words through gritted teeth.
"What's a Marchioness?" Erin asks.
"A women or widow who is married or used to be married to a Marquis," You reply.
"What's a Marquis?" Kaija asks.
"A guy who is better than an Earl but less than a Duke," You answer.
"Oh okay, but wait, if you don't like Elizabeth, why are we gonna see her mom?" Grace asks.
"Because she can teach use some very useful things that we might need in case we were to get kidnapped again like at the last ball," You reply.
"Um, are you gonna tell us exactly what she might teach us?" Kaija questions.
"No, I want it to be a surprise," You answer.
"Well, when are we gonna visit her?" Erin asks.
"Well, the ball is at 8:30 pm, and the coronation is at 6:00 pm, so maybe sometime during the morning, or maybe even today if we still have time," You say.
"Okay sounds good," Grace says.

*Prince Adalric's P.O.V.*

I wasn't sure if (Y/n) would keep her promise with not telling about the secret place so I kind of cast a listening spell so that I could listen to them talk while I head to my room.

. . ."Alright, I promised him to not tell anyone about the secret place, sorry," . . .

Well, she told them that it exists, but nothing more. I guess that is okay, it's easy to forgive (Y/n), she is like a 'puppy' as humans call them, sweet, happy, fun, cute, and innocent. I think to myself. Well, its too bad I can't ever see her again after the celebration. Wait. . . What if I. . . Yes, that is an excellent idea! I shall do it at the Celebration!

When I entered my room, I open up my mother's jewlery box, remembering all the great memories of her before she had died from sickness, which then lead to memories of my father before he had gone off to war against the fairies and died as well. I shook off the memories and continued what I was doing. I took out my mother's favorite ring, the one she always wore, the one my father gave to her when he asked her to be his queen. I put the ring in a fancy box and put it in my pocket, then I listened in more on (Y/n)'s conversation.

". . . before Erin's Queen Coronation ball tomarrow. . ."

There having a ball? Maybe (Y/n) and I will be able to go there so that she may be with her friends one last time before staying here with me forever. I think to myself.

". . . the ball is at 8:30 pm. . ."

So that's when it starts, we will certainly be there. I think to myself.

Then I go over to (Y/n)'s room and knock on the door.

*Your P.O.V.*

There is a knock on the door.

"Come in," Grace says.

The door opens and Prince Adalric comes in.

"The celebration will start now my ladies, please follow me so I can formally introduce you to my subjects," Prince Adalric says.
"Okay," You, Grace, Erin, and Kaija all say.

The four of you follow Prince Adalric out of your room and to the place where the Celebration will be.
