Anemone Young was not happy with herself from the moment she passed Browning on the way to her office. It was the end of her work day and she had been doing fine. She was just heading back to pack up the few things she needed to bring home with her when he passed and for the first time in a while, and she felt the urge to kill someone that wasn't a serial killer.
Anxious to lock herself in her office for awhile, she lounged in her chair, staring out the window as she berated herself. It was stronger than it had been the other times the feeling had occurred and she wondered if it had anything to do with how busy she'd been the past week.
"Maybe I just need to get laid." She muttered to herself. She hadn't been the only one busy with work. Garth was helping authorities on cases other than the one involving her as he covered for her. She never asked him to do that, but perhaps he had assumed something from their relationship. Annie would have to visit him later and talk to him about it.
There was also a part of her that suggested Browning had once been a serial killer. That might explain why the urge to kill him was stronger than it usually was for normal people.
It was either that or she needed to kill someone. At the thought she shook her head slowly.
"Sex sounds more appealing than that." She mumbled again. Plus, there was a part of her that wanted to see him. He knew what she was and actually seemed capable of accepting it. With a glance at her phone, she wondered if he was off today or at least off soon. With a look around her office, she collected her things and left with a destination of Garth's place; careful to not pass Browning again.
Reaching his house after a while of walking, she knocked.
When he opened the door, he was shirtless with wet hair and his cell in his hand as if he had been texting someone. Not taking her eyes off of him, she dug out her own and looked down, seeing that she had a text.
"Well, hi." He greeted with a smile. Annie stared at him for a moment before smiling back.
"Hi, I guess we both had some free time and thought of the same thing." Her voice sounding a little dazed as she hugged him. She felt his body stiffen from the unexpected contact.
"Everything ok?"
"I just need to test something."
"What?"
"I need to see whether I need to kill someone or if I'm just sexually frustrated." At her outlandish response, Garth's expression became pensive.
"So, bedroom?"
"I don't like rug burns, so yes bedroom." Her eyes were playful even though her voice was slightly demanding in nature.
"Yes, Ma'am." He grinned before throwing her over his shoulder and hurrying into the room, kicking the door closed behind him.
"This is a most wonderful result." She half mewled as she twisted around, stretching her body next to Garth. He was sitting up in bed and almost had the urge to reach out and pet her simply because of the one act.
"I take it your experiment went well." He chuckled as she sat up to join him; peeking over his shoulder at the newspaper in his hand.
"Yes, I hope you don't feel used."
"Oh no, I had similar desires." Garth smiled."If you remember, I was going to call and ask you to come over. Would you like some coffee?"
"Oh, Garth, have I ever declined such an offer?" She tilted her head as he started heading out, pants loosely hanging from his waist.
