The Witch In The Village

It was December. It was colder than ever.

All of our crops died and our water froze because of the freezing weather and because of this my power was draining, slowly.

We live in another dimension from the human world.

When our food and water supply run out we have to go to the human world using a portal made by the wizards of our realm.

But going to the human world came be very dangerous because this mission could lead to several injuries or death and now it was my turn to go because I was already old enough to sneak into the village to get food and water to sustain my family's life and powers.

I know since I have powers and I could just wave my magic wand and get some food and water or bring our plants back to life but no.

My powers are only limited to disguising myself into any form or being able to be very smart.

And my mother is too old to get food from the village and its too risky for her because the closest village to the witch portal is the village of the country of San Fernando.

Its dangerous for us witches because in the country of San Fernando there are laws, and one of those laws is to eliminate all the witches they could find.

My father are one of the victims, he couldn't make it.

And that's why I'm going to be the one to get food and water from now on because I'm the only one in my family who can transform to anything without my magic wand.

So it was planned that this Sunday I'm going to take off to San Fernando.

I'm really getting nervous and scared.

What happens if I screw up? What will happen to my family and everybody here once I get caught?
But despite all those thoughts I'll just try to be brave.

Then my little sister appeared and patted my shoulder and said, "Good luck, big sis. Please, please come back soon!" then I smiled I was touched by the words that she said and those words made me want to come back as soon as possible.

Then I hugged my little sister and I whispered in her ear.
"I'll come back".

Chapter 2

"Bye!" I said to my little sister and the rest of my family.

Just before I was about to step into the portal to the human world, my crush, a wizard named Sage gave me a necklace he made by himself to keep me away from harm. Then he kissed me in the cheek! I hope my witch hat covered my blushing face from him to see.

As I stepped towards the portal I turned my back then I said " I'll miss you all!" Then I stepped into the portal.
