Today is Monday. And I have to go to work. I woke up too early this morning but honestly, I didn't sleep that much because I was too nervous because Sage was in the same roof as I am. I got out of my bed, went straight to the bathroom and after that I changed to my work cloths. I prepared my breakfast and lunch and left a note for Sage, who was still sleeping.
I walked my daily route, exchanged good mornings with my neighbors. When I arrived at the convenience store, I logged in and noticed Edward coming in and we both stared at each other for a while until Edward quickly turned his head to the opposite direction. "Morning, Edward." I say trying to sound as normal as possible. "M-morning." Edward greets. Somehow ever since he confessed his feelings to me things became pretty awkward. Like really awkward. But fortunately, Manager came with his unnaturally loud voice and broke the awkward silence. "OI! I saw you yesterday, A-may-ha! And you called me Mr. Mustache, how rude." He exclaimed. "Umm, sorry, Manager. But doesn't that suit you better?" I admit. "What?! Of course not. Why would It suit me better? Well, at least its better than travelling to different dimensions." Manager sighed.
Manager looked at us and we looked at him in confusion. However, what he said was very familiar to me. How would Manager know about travelling into portals and into different dimensions? Was it just part of one of his expressions or does he know something about them?
"Huh? What do you mean about that, Manager? Edward asked. " N-no, nothing!" Manager says. Somehow he was getting nervous after saying that. "Never mind that, guys. We've got to open the store now because there seem s to be a costumer waiting outside." Manager remind.
I nodded and went to my station, which was the counter. Edward stayed at the stock room in case there was a costumer who wanted something that wasn't there anymore. But Edward came to me and smiled a gentle smile. "Sorry bout yesterday, May. I couldn't control myself because this is the last day I'll be here. My mom was convinced by my work and wants me back at the palace. I wanted to know your feelings towards me as soon as possible so I did it forcefully. I deeply sorry. I guess you're just my unrequited love. But no matter how you friend zoned me or if you'll be with someone else, I'll always be your lover." Edward confess. This was a comfortable moment for us. I was deeply touched by what he said. I showed him a worried smile. He looked relieved after seeing this and raised his hand. "High five, Amaya. This high five isn't an ordinary high five but a high five that us, friends we'll never forget." Edward offers.
"Yeah." I accept.
"Umm.... excuse me but can I buy these?" A girl say bringing back from gazing into space.
"Sure." I say getting the items and checking what the price was. "Thanks." The girl says. I looked at her and smiled. Then I noticed that she was the girl who resemble Jade so much. And she seemed to notice me as well. "Hey, aren't you-" I cut the girl before she says anything. "This would cost $1, Ma'am." I say getting nervous. Then she gave the money and I put the items in the paper bag and handed it to her. She leans forward to me and whispers."You're one of them, aren't you?"
She leans back and smirks at me while I'm just there, standing in confusion. How did she know I'm one of 'them'? Edward comes out of his station and tapped me on the shoulder. "Another tough costumer, huh?" Edward asked. "Yes, a suspicious one too." I say looking at the door.

After a long day of work, Edward walked me home, as usual. A soon as I was near the apartment I was getting nervous because of what Sage said before, 'Do you like that human?". I thought about it and stared at Edward. Edward seem to notice me studying him. "What?" Edward says and quickly turns bright red. "Nothing important. Anyways, I'll miss ya, Ed." I say looking at the road at the side. "Yeah. Me too, I'll miss you, May." Edward says in a soft voice. "Bye, hope we'll meet again." I say.
Before I could get through the gate, Edward holds my wrist and pulls me from behind. "Amaya, I love you." He confessed. I was defenseless. I really like his warmth, It was comforting. Then he turned me towards him, so now I'm facing face-to-face with him. He then lets go of my wrist and placed one hand on my face and one on my shoulder. He quickly tried to kiss me but instinctively, I placed one hand in my mouth right before he could touch me lips with his. "What are you doing, Edward? You're a prince and I'm a.... Villager. We can only go as far as friends. Sorry but I've gotta go." I say going to my apartment room. All I needed to do is to hide myself from Edward because he might uncover my secret identity. Cause If a human kisses you, he/ she will automatically know your real identity. It just part of the culture and that's what happens. Nothing can change it. I quickly unlock the door and went in and locked in and quickly ran towards my room. Unfortunately, Sage was blocking it. "Are you okay? Did he do something horrible to you?" Sage asks worried. "How'd you know?" I ask. "When I was watering the plants, I noticed you were walking with that human from afar. I knew you only friends so I didn't mind."
"OH, can I enter my room please." I ask. "But how about dinner?" Sage asked. I knew cooking here was hard for Sage so I just follow him towards the dining room. "Are you sure you're OK?" Sage asks again. "Yes, just a little shocked." I admit. After cleaning up the dining table I immediately went to my room. So I jumped into bed and played the guitar Because the guitar releases my stress away. After that I suddenly felt tired and sleepy so I returned my guitar and quickly fell asleep.

Next day...
"Amaya, wake up. You're getting really late for your work." Sage says opening the curtains, which made me turn my back and face the wall.
"I don't wanna." I say, covering my entire body with the thick layered blanket. "Now, don't act like a child, Amaya. You're the heroine of our country. So don't act like you're like a lazy human being." Sage says, gently but his voice is starting to be a little scary. Like a mother being so nice to you until she rages her anger out of control because you wouldn't listen to her for the third time she told you to do something. "Nope." I say, stubbornly. "OH, is that so?" Sage gestures in a deathly way. "You're not gonna listen, eh?" He says, now but with a devilish grin. Like he's gonna choke me to death or something. "You know what, I feel like I'm gonna miss something in work so gotta go." So when I arrived at work I directly sent to the manager's office.
"Hello?" I knock.
"Come in , A-may-ha."
"Umm... Can I ask you a question?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure. What is it?" He ask.
"Do you know who Jacob Smith was? (Smith is our family code name. We only use it when we're out of our dimension)." I say.
"........... Jay-cob?--"
