The Witch In The Village

#Chapter 15

Edward's POV

today is quite a weather. A clear sky with clouds scattered in the west. If I were still there in the convenient store then I would be there seeing Amaya smiling. But I guess that love was just an illusion. It really hurt me knowing that Amaya has no room for me in her heart. Its really devastating. Now that my mom knows I am very independent, she arranged a marriage between me and Lady Elise. I hate her. She is like the opening of an endless pit of darkness( no offense ). I admire her qualities but her personality is what despise me. To makes things worse, my mother arranged our marriage later this week. And I haven't got to apologize to Amaya for what I did last night.

I sat on my bed and on the Television. To my surprise, Lady Elise was there in front of the camera saying her speech. I knew I was a bit late to watch it but I could see where she was leading to with her speech. "Do remember the 8th law of our country? It's to eliminate every witch we find without second thought, right?" Lady Elise says.

"So there's been a witch in the village, huh." I saw offing the Television. "I gotta inform this to Amaya. She never seen one before. Maybe she'd like to hunt one with me for our final memory together." I say putting on my armor and setting out for the stable to get a horse.

"Dear, where do you think you're going? Don't tell me you want to hunt the witch?" Mom says coming out of the back door.

"Well, I was about to do it with someone who helped me survive in the village so I wanted to give her my gratitude and anyways, she never seen one or caught one before so I'm letting her see one." I say getting on the horse.

"Oh, its a she?" Mom says curiously. " And she never seen or caught one? Is she from a different country?"

"Yup." I say, without noticing I was blushing furiously in front of my mother. MY MOTHER from all people!

"So you're into her, eh?" Mom says grinning. "You better not cheat on Lady Elise. She's heads over heels for you. How can you not understand tha-" Mom scold.

"Neh, Anyways, love ya mom and see ya As Soon As Possible!" I say waving back at her. So I continued to ride my horse going to Amaya's apartment. " Yes, I'm gonna see her again..." But when I got there, The owner of the whole apartment said that she wasn't at home. That she was still out. So the next place I thought of was The convenient store.

While I was riding my horse, I noticed that no one was in this street. Everybody probably already went to the capital. So it felt quite different. And the sky was totally different from a while ago because right now the skies were covered by Nimbus clouds ( The kind of cloud that is quite grayish and has rain in it [ I think this is wrong though ] ) compared to a while ago, it was a clear sky. When I arrived at the convenient store, no one was there. It was closed and it was empty ( except for the foods and drinks, of course.). I looked into the window to recheck, but I was right. No one was there.

The next thing that gave me hope was the book store. The book store that Amaya loves. I set out and headed towards the book store.

And when I arrived there, it was only the librarian who was still there, she was probably getting ready to close the shop to participate on hunting down the witch. I went to her and asked. "Did Amaya happened to pass by?" It took long for her to recognize. "Oh, yes. She was headed towards the grocery store with the Manager of the convenient store and a handsome guy. I don't know why but they were headed to the grocery area. Maybe they haven't paid their electricity fees and now their searching for batteries without knowing all the stores are closing due to the upcoming event." The librarian says, starting to close the light. "How about you, prince? Why are you looking for her?"The librarian asks. Walking out the door and I follow her. "Why should I tell you?" I say. "I don't know but I'll tell you a deep secret if you tell me the reason why." The librarian offers. So I began telling her the reason why although, I didn't tell her everything. "Alright, The reason why I'm looking for Amaya is because I want to have a great memory of me and her and I guarantee it would be our last. I also wanted to apologize for everything I've done." I say looking on the floor.

"Oh, such a nice prince. It's good to know that there are still guys like you that exist. Amaya sure is a lucky girl." she says. "Anyways, come closer to me, Prince. You're fiance isn't originally from here. she has super unnatural powers. Which is sensing different species that are unknown. So before she'd come here and study 'WITCHES'. So once she mastered sensing witches she used this to control the country. However, If she over uses this power it will lead to a lot of side effects. These side effects are unknown because she's never sensed a witch before. That's why I'm going to the capital to see what will happen. And if you're wondering how I know about this is because I am Lady Elise's mother. However, I cannot sense anything and I am originally from here. I adopted her. So that's the reason." She explains.

"Wait, why is she there in the royalty?" I ask.

"It's because she was adopted by the government. At first I resisted but she really wanted to go so I let her." She says. "However, The rest of the story will remain a secret. If you tell the secret I just told you then There will be a curse that will be cast on you. " She says leaving. "Nice talking to ya, Prince." She says waving her hand.

"Yeah." I say looking at her as she walks away and then I looked down and then looked up again as a single rain drop fall. "I wonder if this raindrop is like me, Fallen and lonely."

"What exactly is happening to me right now? Why does it seem like Amaya drifting farther and farther away from me."

"Reality hurts."

"Why is it that 'Why', 'How' and 'What' always come into my thoughts?" I thought.

"Oh, Greeting prince." Lady Elise says in a very surprised yet flirtatious tone. "Why in the world are you here?" She says with a body guard behind her. "Are you looking for her!" She says unfolding a paper behind her. It was Amaya. "Yes." I say studying the picture. Then I noticed that in the picture it says there, "WANTED! WITCH!" "How'd you know if she's a witch, Lady Elise?" I asked. Looking furious. Then suddenly, I remembered what the librarian shared with me. "Amaya is a witch?" I asked. Lady Elise ripped the paper into half and smirked. "Of course she is. Have you noticed, that you never got interested in any girl in the country, including me? Amaya is a coward, plastic, everything that describes something that doesn't belong here." She explains. Then she walked towards me and leaned against my chest, just the way Amaya used to do. "Prince Edward, you should know that Amaya was just playing with your feelings. She doesn't have any feeling for you at all. Not as a lover nor as a friend." She says.

So Amaya was playing with my feelings. That brat, I thought she was a pure angel but after knowing this, my perspective of her has completely changed. Right now, She's just another witch to eliminate. Now I felt nothing but the urge to follow Elise. Now i'm under her control and I have no idea why. I just blanked out.

Then suddenly, I heard her say something.

"Prince Edward, or should I say Ed. Please call me Lady Jade."

Sorry I took so long!!! I deeply apologize.

Anyways, sorry for making this chapter really long...... And yeah, Lady Elise was Jade all this time. I think I've made it quiet obvious before. sorry. And just to remind you, The librarian is in her middle 40s.

It took time for me to finish this because I forgot my password but then I remembered it.
