Logan dropped Kurt and Sorin off at the entrance before driving around to the garage. When they got inside, Jean was sitting on one of the benches along the wall of the lobby. Kitty was sitting on another, legs pretzeled, head in her hands. Evan was sitting in the chair closest to the window, staring out, frowning. Jean waved them over when she saw them.

"The Professor would like to debrief each of us before we go do anything else."

"Debrief?"

"Just describe everything about today's events that you can remember. The Professor likes to keep note of things that happen involving powers."

"Oh, okay."

"Jean."

Sorin looked up to see Scott standing there.

"It's your turn."

Jean stood and made her way to the Professor's office. Scott followed.

"Feels an awful lot like being sent to the principal's office."

"Ja, a little," Kurt agreed as they sat on the bench Jean had vacated.

Jean came back after about ten minutes, and told Kurt he was next. Kitty and Evan did not appear to be in a conversational mood, and Scott and Jean disappeared off to wherever it was they spent their time. So Sorin sat quietly, going over the events of the day. Because everyone got sent home today, today wouldn't be counted as a full day of school. Tomorrow would be an adjusted day. Their homeroom teachers would tell them how the schedule was adjusted. It wasn't hard to figure out though. Only first and second period had been successfully completed, so those would not have class time tomorrow. Lunch periods would remain the same and all the other classes would get moved up a slot (or several to go around lunch). So. Those with fifth period lunch would have third, fourth, sixth, lunch, seventh, eighth, ninth, following homeroom. Those with sixth period lunch would have third, fourth, fifth, seventh, lunch, eighth, ninth, following homeroom. Homeroom would be a free period during which the class adjustments would be given. Everyone would get out of school a period early.

It also meant that Friday wouldn't be the last day of school. Monday would be. Sorin wondered if they would still have the graduation exam Friday or if it would be rescheduled for Monday. If they moved the exam, would they also move graduation to a later date? Sorin wasn't sure, but he figured he would find out in the next couple of days.

"Sorin."

He looked up and saw Kurt standing at the top of the staircase as Scott had.

Sorin made his way up the stairs and traveled down the right wing hallway to the Professor's office.

The Professor was at his desk, writing. Sorin closed the door behind him and took a seat in front of the desk as he had on his other visits here.

"Sorin, I hear you've finished all your work, despite the crammed time frame. That's excellent. Well done."

"Thank you."

The Professor turned the notebook he was writing in to a new page.

"Alright then, let's get this out of the way shall we? Just tell me about today's events. Start with the bus ride to school and let me know anything you can remember."

Sorin shared everything he could remember, the Professor scribbling away the entire time. When he finished, the Professor wrote for a minute or two more and then put the pen down.

"Thank you. While you're here, I would like to ask what your plans are for after graduation."

"Well I applied to the local college, but I'm not sure if I can go."

"Were you accepted?"

"Yes."

"But you haven't given them notice that you intend to go because of financial concerns?" The Professor looked directly at him. Sorin always felt like the Professor was seeing right through him when he looked at him like that.

"Yes."

"Send them notice that you will be attending. You are my ward, the finances are taken care of."

Sorin was surprised. He hadn't expected that.

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Thank you, Professor!" Sorin smiled.

"You're very welcome, Sorin." The Professor returned the smile.

"One more thing and then you can go."

"Sure."

"After graduation I would like you to start training, physically and educationally, in regards to your powers. Danger room sessions. Medical exams. There are sciences specific to mutations and powers to be studied. Most of the other residents here have already begun their training. I pushed off starting your training because of the unusual conditions for your graduation. I felt you were already burdened with enough work. Regardless of whether or not you choose to become a member of the X-men, it would be good for you to have the best understanding of how your powers work and the extents to which you can take it."

"That sounds great. And I would like to join the X-men eventually. I do think I need more practice first, but I would like to help out."

"Wonderful. Well, I will be putting together a summer schedule for you to get started. We'll adjust when you get your first semester courses."

Sorin was excused, and was asked to send Evan in. After Sorin relayed the message, he made his way to the cafeteria. Many of the others were eating lunch. Sorin sat with Jean, Scott, and Kurt. They talked about the events of the day. Sorin asked how the Professor was going to react to Kitty technically being the center of the issue, and to Evan hurting Blob. Scott informed him that Evan would likely be assigned to more training exercises in the Danger Room, probably ones that required him not to harm his opponent in order to succeed. Kitty on the other hand. No one was real sure how the Professor would react. The Professor was not real happy about Kitty dating a member of the Brotherhood. However, the Professor believed in letting people make their own choices. So he never forbade her from seeing him, only from discussing the X-men and anything that occurred here. Kitty had found that reasonable and swore not to.

After lunch, Jean and Scott went off on their own and Kurt invited Sorin to play video games on the console Kurt had for himself. They spent the rest of the night in Kurt's room playing, taking a break around six to grab some food from the kitchen.

Tuesday went exactly how Sorin thought it would, class wise. It was announced Tuesday afternoon that the graduation exam would be moved to Monday. Graduation and the graduation bash would occur on the Friday after, as originally planned. The rest of the week went by uneventfully, unremarkably.
