The next mourning, Gerard woke to the smell of coffee. He hummed and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked to Frank's bunk, only to notice he was gone. Maybe Frank had made coffee, and if he did, Gerard had the perfect way to apologise:
Wrap his arms around Frank's waist from behind, kiss the side of his neck a little, and promise him a date at his favourite restaurant.
But to Gerard's disappointment, Frank hadn't made coffee, in fact he was nowhere in sight. Ray made coffee, and he stood sipping his lightly. "Hey Gee," he greeted Gerard between sips.
"Hey, have you seen Frankie?" Gerard questioned, telling himself that if Ray hadn't, he shouldn't worry. Frank had been pretty upset, but he wouldn't leave. Frank had been worse and never left, why would he leave this time?
"Um, no... I seen him earlier this mourning but I fell back to sleep." Ray replied. And even though Gerard told himself not to worry, he felt sick with worry. He went back to his room, and glared at his sketchbook. Frank was more important to him than it, but if only Frank knew what he's drawing...
He sat and put his head in his hands. He had to think - where would Frank hide or leave to? He knew that he wasn't in the bathroom because Bob had just came out. Gerard began to sob in frustration and worry. Where could Frank be...
~
Frank wondered down the street, hands in his jacket pockets. He had no particular destination, just away. He walked, stopping every now and then to check his buzzing phone. Texts from Gerard.
Gee: frnki? Bb?
Gee: I miss you bb, plse come back..
Gee: frnki Im worried. Where r u?
Frank had that urge to reply, to tell Gerard he was on his way home then run to his true love, but his body refused to respond to his mind. He kept walking, soon arriving to the coffee shop.
He entered the coffee shop and sat at the booth in the corner. He ordered his usual Starbucks and sat staring at the table drinking. A moment later, he noticed somebody sit down across from him. He looked up to see that Abrin girl. "Hey," she smiled.
Frank half smiled back. "You seem sad," Abrin studied him. Frank continued to stare at the table. "You should tell me why." Abrin sipped her coffee.
All Frank did was shake his head slightly. Abrin sighed. "Okay, well... do you mind if I sit here with you?"
Again, Frank only slowly shook his head. Abrin sat with him, sipping her coffee and acasionally looking to him. He stared at the table still, Gerard in his mind.
He was probably worried out of his mind, looking everywhere. He pulled out his phone and texted his hopefully still- boyfriend.
Frnk: gee Im sorry Im coming home asap
Once he sent the message he felt relief. "Hey, I'm sorry Abrin. But I gotta go." And he left the coffee shop. Off to his house and to his true love.
