Jason's P.O.V
"Quit!" I groaned as I pushed Hayes and Andrew away from me as they all just laughed. We were walking back home because we were going "out of town" tonight because my dad had an important mission him and the rest of his gang had to do. "Aww you miss your girlfriend don't you?" Dylan teased me as they all laughed. I rolled my eyes, "Bro, she ain't even his girlfriend, she freaking friend zoned his ass!" Josh laughed, making them all laugh harder. I groaned at how annoying they can be, "At least I got a girl!" I said to Josh. Everyone "oohed" as I smirked at him, continuing my way back home....
"Aye pops!" We all ran into the house and immediately "beat up" my dad. He laughed and "fought" back. "Okay okay, I give up! I'm getting to old for this." He laughed as we all laughed and got off of him. "Y'all all packed?" He asked us. We nodded, then everyone looked at me and Hayes. "What?" We laughed. "Y'all know y'all ain't packed crap, get y'all asses up there and pack, we leaving in an hour." My dad laughed at us. We groaned but ran upstairs to pack our stuff... Yeah we were last minute kind of people....
Justin's P.O.V
"I hope you know this is the last time we leave this house today." I said to Amber and Atlanta. It was ten o'clock at night and we were leaving to go get ice cream and this is like the fifth time of us leaving the house just to come back. "Yeah yeah whatever, just shut up and drive." Amber laughed as she cuddled up to herself in the front seat, a blanket around her body since it was freezing outside. I turned the heater to the car on and looked back at Atlanta, "You getting warm back there baby doll?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded at me and I smiled back and pulled out of the drive way. "So why is it that we are getting ice cream and its freaking cold as heck outside?" I asked them. They smiled at me and shrugged and I playfully rolled my eyes at them and continued to drive. About ten minutes into the ride, I was tapping the steering wheel to the beat of the song that was currently playing on the radio when Amber nudged me. I look over at her and she nodded towards the back. I glance back at the review mirror to see Atlanta leaning her head against the window, staring outside. She was quiet this whole car ride. I look back at Amber with a questioning look and she shrugged and pointed at me. "Me?" I mouthed as I pointed to myself. She nodded. "Why? What I do?" I asked her, this time out loud. "Jason." Was all that she mouthed back to me before going back to staring out her window. I sighed and glanced back at my baby girl in the backseat, she was still quiet. Still not making a sound. "Baby doll?" I questioned as I begin driving again once the light turned green. "Yes daddy?" She asked. "You okay? Your being quiet back there?" I asked her. She just nodded and smiled lightly at me. "Uh huh!" She said. "Justin watch out!" Amber screamed and I quickly looked to the road and see that I was about to hit another car. Atlanta screamed and I swerved out the way, which almost made us go into the piece of land that dipped down from the road, but I swerved back onto the road as all the cars honked at me. "I'm sorry I'm sorry geez chill out." I muttered to all the cars that honked at me as they passed me up. I look at Amber, "you okay?" I asked her. She just nodded and held onto her heart. "Jesus Justin! You gave me a heart attack!" She said. "I'm sorry babe." I smiled sheepishly at her. She just groaned and rolled her eyes and I look back at Atlanta, who was still shaken up. "Baby doll, it's okay now." I said to her. She didn't seem to calm down so I pulled over and asked Amber to take the wheel and finish the last ten minutes to the ice cream parlor. She nodded and I climbed into the back seat and Amber climbed into my seat. I unbuckle Atlanta and brought her into my lap and cuddle her to me, I take the blanket that Amber was using and wrap it around us as I rocked us back and forth. She silently cried into my jacket and I kissed her head. "Shh baby doll it's okay, you know daddy won't ever let anything bad happen to you, I'm gonna protect you with my life, I promise. Please stop crying baby, your okay. Mommy's okay and so is daddy, everything's all right, I promise." I whispered as I held her shaking body tighter to me as she calmed down slightly. "There you go baby, good job." I praised her for calming down. "D-daddy" she cried as she held onto me tighter, my jacket balled up in her small fists. "Shh baby, I promise I'm alright. See? Nothing's wrong!" I smile down at her, showing her that there was no source of pain on my body whatsoever. She looked me up and down through her teary eyes and then grabbed my arms and checked them as I chuckle lightly at her protectiveness over me, just like Amber. "See?" I smile at her once she finds nothing wrong. She whimpered and picked my arm up again, but this time she buried her face in my chest and let my arm come over her small body. I laugh and so does Amber when she glanced at us through the mirror. "What are you doing young lady? He's mine!" Amber joked at Atlanta. Atlanta's face came out of my side and had the biggest smile on her face as she giggled and shook her head. "No! He's mine!" She giggled as she crawled into my lap and I supported her by wrapping my arms around her. "Uh uh!" Amber said as she looked at the road as we pulled up to the ice cream parlor. "Uh huh!" Atlanta said as I placed her beanie on her head, making sure to cover her ears, and zipped up and buttoned her jacket before she left the car. Then climbed out after her, wrapping my arm around Amber and bringing her to me. I sighed at her as I took my beanie off and placed it on her head of curls. "Your gonna get sick if you don't start dressing warmer." I mumbled as I kissed her cheek. She smiled cheekily at me and I laughed as I pulled my hood up to cover my head. We followed Atlanta into the ice cream parlor then once we got our ice creams, sat down at a table by the window. I looked around the empty shop. "Ohh look there's nobody here because it's flipping freezing outside and everybody else has common sense to stay inside and get hot coco or coffee instead!" I joked. They rolled their eyes at me and I just laughed, wiping Atlanta's face with a napkin. "So messy." I shook my head playfully. "So messy." Amber copied my actions with shaking her head at me and cleaning my face, making Atlanta laugh at me and I just laughed as well. I watched my two girls engage in a conversation with each other with a smile on my face and wonder to myself how I got so damn lucky....
