Jason's P.O.V
"Please dad?" I asked him as we got back into the truck after a stop at the gas station for some gas and snacks and a restroom break. We were three hours into our seventeen hour drive. "No Jason, your too young for this." He sighed as he began driving. I crossed my arms. "Dad please I wanna go on a mission with you and them! How come Dylan and them get to go and I can't?" I asked as they all smirked at me and I glared back at them. "Because your too young Jason! Maybe when your older but for now, just enjoy being a kid, trust me son, you don't want this life, it's too late for me, but not for any of you okay?" He asked us. We all just nodded and he sighed and continued to drive. "How is it too late for you if your the leader and your the one that started the whole gang?" I asked him about ten minutes into the drive. "Because," he began, "When I start something, I finish it and you know that Jase. I started this when I was really young, I had no idea that I would have seven kids in my future, so think about it, we had Nash when, how old are you? Twenty one? I was seventeen when you were born, so I was still really young at that time as well and having one kid put stress on a whole new level, then six more came along and here we are." He laughed lightly. "Just don't fuck up your life for a dumb reason when your young. Any of you." He warned. We nodded and stayed quiet for a little bit longer and just enjoyed the silence and each other's company...
(15 hours later)
"Jason I ain't gonna tell you again, your staying here and that's final. You hear me?" My dad asked me sternly. I nodded as I kicked a suitcase in frustration in our hotel room. "Man this ain't fair!" I said to him. He just glared at me. "Man just stay here alright? You ain't even gotta worry, Hayes is staying here with you too." He said as Hayes walked in with a bag of chips in his hands, he smirked at me as he threw himself on the bed and cut the tv on. I rolled my eyes and shrugged my dads hand from off my shoulder, just for him to grip both of my shoulders in both of his hands and make me look him in the eyes, his face softened a little bit. "Aye, I love you alright? Never forget that. I would take a bullet for you any day, but this is way to dangerous and your way to young to get involved with all of this. Trust me kiddo, you don't want this life. It's not all fun and games like they make it seem. Just trust me alright?" He asked. I nodded and he smiled lightly as he ruffled my hair and stood up straight. "See you later, take care of yourselfs and try not to set anything on fire." He groaned playfully ad me and Hayes rolled our eyes but laughed as he ruffled Hayes hair as well. "Adios losers!" Nash, Dylan, Cole, Andrew, and Josh all said to us as they ruffled our hairs and punched each other on the arm on their way out, arguing over who was sitting where on the drive over there. The door closed and soon it was just me and Hayes. "So we have about maybe the whole night to ourselves, what you want to do?" Hayes asked me. I shrugged as I threw myself on the bed next to him. "Well there's restaurants, an arcade, an indoor pool, a movie theater, cafes, and a book shop down stairs." He said. I just nodded in response. He sighed but soon smirked at me. "What?" I asked him. His stupid smirk never left his stupid face which made me roll my eyes at his stupidness. "Your thinking about that girl from the park aren't you? The one who 'friend-zoned' you?" He laughed. I groan and throw my pillow at him, making him laugh harder. "Damn bro, you got it bad!" He said. I sighed and waited for him to calm down, once he did he looked at me for a while, a small smile still on his lips. "Awe, wassup little bro? Got your first heartbreak?" He asked as leant back against the head board. I groaned, "Nah, I ain't got no heartbreak, I'm just confused. Like, how come I only see her once, and after that she's all I can think about? I always want to go to the park to see her and I always hope that she's there. When I do see her, I get all happy, but when I don't, I'm still me." I sighed. "I mean, I'm nine, I shouldn't feel this way about a girl, let alone a five year old!" I whined. Hayes just shrugged but smiled at me. "Alright little bro, time to get your puny little walnut-sized brain off of that little girl and let's go hang out downstairs. We can go to the book shop?" He joked at me as he threw me my hoodie as he slipped his on as long with his shoes as I followed in pursuit. I rolled my eyes at him. He knows I hate reading with the passion. He laughed and grabbed my head, pulling me into his chest into a head lock playfully, ruffling my hair in the process as he grabbed his phone, wallet, and room key when we walked out of the hotel room we were staying in.
Little did I know, that the same hotel I was staying in, Justin Bieber had planned on taking his family too the very next day for a week.
My family was staying for two weeks...
