Atlanta's P.O.V
I squeeze my eyes shut tightly. "What do you mean you lost Paris?! I leave y'all alone for literally four minutes and you guys can't even handle a little responsibility? Jesus Christ." I breath out. "Bro, calm down. It's one store it's not gonna be hard to find her." Dallas says. I squint at him. "I know that Dallas, and I also know that we're talking about Paris here. So I'm just gonna give you a little time to let that register through that thick skull of yours." I say and lean against the cart, inspecting my nails. "Okay?" He scoffs. I begin to whistle and tilt my head side to side slowly. Then it finally comes to him when he snaps his fingers. "Dude we have to get Paris now!" He says. We all stare at him for the longest time. "Just get her while I pay for this stuff. And if she puts up a fight like I know she will, that's when Jason comes in because she practically worships him." I say and walk to the register to wait in the long line. "Who died and made you king?" Dallas questions me. I turn around to glare at him. "I was born into the line of royalty so shut up and go find her before I beat your ass in the middle of this store. I'm getting real tired of your voice right now." I say lowly. "Geez dude, you seriously need to chill out." He shakes his head and takes Houston and Jason with him to find the little pest herself. I shut my eyes tightly and count to ten before making my way to the register once again. I groan when I see the line has gotten even longer. I take in a deep breath to calm myself down and just wait in line patiently. "Excuse me, I can't find my daddy" I feel a tug on my leg and look down to face the cutest little girl ever who had the cutest pout on her face. I squat down to her height. "Okay, don't panic we'll find him soon, okay?" I asked her. She nods cutely. "His name is Jayden." She says. I nod and was about to reply when an unknown voice stops me. "There you are girl! I've been looking everywhere for you!" I look up to see a guy around my age or a little older. He had light green eyes with brown skin and a pink lips with a slightly crooked nose and I could see a few tattoos here and there. He smiled at me and that showed me his perfect straight, white teeth. "I'm sorry about my sister, she keeps running off. I'm Jayden by the way." He holds his hand out. I smile and shake it. "Atlanta." I nod. He smiled a crooked smile when we pull away. "Like the city?" He asks. I laugh and nod. "Yup." I say. "She said you were her dad?" I asked. "Uh, no. She's always joking around like that." He laughs. I just give him a look and nod. He sighs. "Nah, you know what? I'm not gonna lie in front of her or let her think I'm ashamed of her. She is my daughter." He says. I scrunch my face up at him in confusion. "Oh? But your really young?" I asked him. He nods, "Eighteen, I made a stupid mistake but I wouldn't trade her for the world." He smiles at his daughter and I smile at him. "So what about her mom? She helps out to right?" I asked. He lets out a bitter laugh. "Yeah well let me know if you've seen her because the last time I checked, I raised her by myself." He says. I suddenly felt really bad and guilty. "I'm sorry I'm being nosy." I blushed. He chuckled, "it's all good in the hood." "Daddy I'm hungry." The little girl tugs on Jayden's legs. "Okay baby, we'll get to grandmas house in a little bit." He says. "Hey, my family is having a bar b que tomorrow, I know it's probably weird but you should come." I smiled. "Aye I appreciate it but I'm no ones charity case. I can provide for my daughter you know." I'm surprised at his words. "No, honestly I'm having a bunch of friends and family and you would get along with my brothers too I'm sorry-" he cuts me off by laughing lightly. "If I say yes will you quit talking?" He smirks. I roll my eyes playfully and laugh before nodding. "I FOUND HER!" I hear Houston's voice throughout the store and then heavy footsteps running towards them. I put my head in my hands and groan. "PARIS PUT THAT DOWN!" Dallas's voice was next. "OH MY GOD WHY DID YOU LET HER GO?!" "BECAUSE SHE FUCKING BIT ME!" "WHERES JASON? WE NEED TO GET JASON OVER HERE!" "I GOT THIS!" I hear Dallas scream. Then, all of a sudden, the phone intercom to the whole store picked up and I shake my head, my hands over my face. "Wassup everybody we need a Jason Johnson to aisle sixteen immediately. Jason Johnson please hurry your ass up." Johnson was Jason's last name in public so he wouldn't be recognized. Then the phone went off. "YO, WHERE THE FUCK IS AISLE SIXTEEN?" I hear Jason scream. "TRY THE ONE WITH THE PSYCHOPATH OF A LITTLE GIRL DESTROYING EVERYTHING!" Houston screams back. I hear glass breaking and I look up and sigh loudly. "Those idiots are crazy, I swear you can't go out anywhere anymore." Jayden says. I puff out my cheeks, "yeah.. that's my family." I muttered. "Your family?" Jayden asked me, his eyes wide. "Yup." I breath out as security begin to run to the back of the store. "I'm so sorry." He says as I walk past him to get to where all the commotion was as well.
"Yeah.. Me too."
