Chapter 10: Head Banging,Mess and Air Guitars

Harri's POV

The week had dragged on and it seemed to drag on even further on Friday afternoon in history class, with Jack giving me goosebumps every time he lightly tapped me to ask me something or to just be annoying at one point I think he gathered that he was having some sort effect on me, which to be honest I didn't know what that was myself ,he seemed to just make me feel all tingly when he would gently nudge me when walking to class me or send me a text that was just a simple 'good morning' or 'goodnight' it was stupid and cheesy but I liked it and I wasn't planning on stopping it any time soon because I like Jack. I think?

It seemed like months ago when Jack had invited me to his party but it was only 3 weeks ago and a week ago he had asked me to help him set up. It was in that time that we had really started to get closer and learn stuff about each other I didn't know him fully yet but we were getting there. We would always talk non stop and just laugh about random things and two hour of history became a little less boring. For the both of us.

The last bell of the day rang which told me school was over and Jacks party would be thriving in matter of hours. I made my way to my dorm being greeted with Faye head banging and playing an air guitar to some really loud rock music and Violet looking as if she was going to pass out. I could see the mess that Faye was making as she jumped from bed to bed knocking things over and creating a racket of noise. "Faye!" "Faye!" I tried shouting over the deafening music but it was no use. I like Faye she's one of my closest friends but when she does things like this she really gets on my nerves. I stormed over to the speaker and pulled the Ipod out from the connected cable. "What are you doing Faye?!" My voice slightly raised   She gave me an annoyed face which changed into a confused face "what do you mean Harri? I was just having a bit of fun." My eyes widened "yeah fun for you maybe. Can you not see that your upsetting your friend?!" I gestured towards Violet who was on the verge of tears. I went over to her and swallowed her into a hug.i looked up Faye still hugging Violet "Faye I know that sometimes things get out of hand. But this has to stop. I know I haven't been here long and I don't really know how things work around here but you have to stop doing this to Violet, you can't keep using her problem like this, it's not healthy and it's not fair! You should try and appreciate what Vi actually does in this dorm instead of ruining the first chance you get. It's not fair for Vi to keep doing this and you need to realise that, and fast." After finishing my lecture I stood up from the bed and pulled Violet with me and walked out the room leaving Faye behind and not saying another word to her.

I looked up at Violet who still looked a bit shook up from the whole ordeal "I'm sorry I didn't say something sooner Vi. I just didn't know whether that's how you two were with each other" she shook her head as we hooked arms and made our way to the cafeteria for our last meal of the day."no it's ok. Thank you for saying something to her though it was really beginning to stress me out and I think I was in the verge of going really bad again." We sat down and ate our food and tried to avoid the touchy subject and talk about more fun things. "So have you decided how I'm gonna make it up to you?" She chucked "your still gonna do that? "
"Of course! I made you a promise and I'm going to keep it" she dipped her chicken nugget into some tomato ketchup and took a bite "well I think you've already made it up to me so.." she didn't finish her sentence and I turned around to see what she was staring at it was Faye "can I sit with you.. Please?" I didn't say anything I but dragged the chair out next to me for her to sit on she set her burger and fries on the table and sat down. She sighed and looked up from her fingers that she was fiddling with and set them in her lap "I-I'm really sorry Violet i didn't mean to make you so upset. I know that I don't act like I appreciate what you do for me and i promise that I will try harder to be a better friend! Just please don't hate me I need you guys more than you think" I glanced at Violet to se what to do and she just smiled "it's ok Faye, we don't hate you. We are just glad you came to apologise." Faye turned to me "thanks for the wake up called I really needed it" i gave her and understanding nod and told her it was all water under the bridge because the last thing we need is to ruin our friendship.
