"My parents have been bickering non- stop since Tyler dropped me off at home on his motorbike. Yes, I know he might look like bad news because he has a few tattoos and a lip piercing but he really isn't. He is normal, just like any other guy." I told Ella as we walked over to the park.
"He's bad news Alea, you can't see him anymore Alea, stay away from him Alea!" I said mocking my mum's voice, repeating what she had told me.
"She can't do that Al, you are your own person, you make your own decisions and if he is a mistake,"
"He is not!" I said interrupting her.
"Yes but IF he is then he is a mistake you must make."
"Exactly Ella, that's what I've been trying to say."
"What does your dad say?" She asked as we sat down on the grass.
"You know him, I'm sure he is worried but he doesn't have I problem with Tyler, I think its because he was like him when he was younger."
"And your mum does?" She said raising her eyebrow.
"Yea, which I can't seem to understand because she married my dad, I'm not even officially dating Tyler yet."
"Well then tell your dad how you feel about your mum."
"Ella he'll just say that she cares about me and that she is worried that I will get hurt. I'm worried about me getting hurt too but if I do I'll handle it."
"I know you will." She said smiling, we stood up and starting walking home.
