Silence is Suicide.

Chapter Thirteen.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. I scribbled, "Fine whatever. I'll try it..."

Jeremy victory jumped into the air. "Hell yeah bro! Thank you times one million! We'll start practicing tomorrow, after work, that cool?"

I shrugged.

I ate another sandwich in my silence while he talked about bass guitar. He told me about all it's parts; the tuning pegs, the head, the neck, the fret board, the body, and the sound pick up.

"So," he started, "sounds like fun, huh? It might take a lot of work though."

I nodded.

"Well I might as well tell you some band history." he stuffed the rest of his sandwich in his mouth. "Well, I started this band with my buddy from high school, Darren; he's the vocalist. Anyway, my little brother, Eddy, wanted in on the band. He wanted to play guitar like his big bro Jeremy. Since I'm lead, he's the rhythm guitar. We knew a guy named Pete; he can drum to no end. He agreed to be in our band... following me so far?"

I nodded listening to Jeremy's story.

He laughed, "Here comes the drama." He grabbed a soda from the fridge and handed me it.

"Okay, so we met this guy, Alec, at a bar one night and we overheard him talking about how he needed a band and his godly bass guitar skills. The four of us were still lookin' for a bassist so we asked him to meet us up so we could see he so called 'skills.' He came over the next day and played for us. He was right, he was a damn good bassist. He was for a really long time too. Suddenly, when it came show time, Alec decides to become a major douche canoe and completely fucks up our shows. He was perfect during practice and he decided it would be 'funny' if he messed majorly during shows."

Jeremy's hand clenched to a fist. "He admitted to doing that on purpose too. That's when we kicked him from the band. I still really want to kick that kid's--" Jeremy stopped,"Ambrosia? You're back!"

"My... um... mom wouldn't let me in..." she said awkwardly, "Sorry about earlier." She apologized to me.
