6 years. 6 years. After all I've done, after all I've wished for, why now?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Six years is quite a long time, if you come to think of it. 2,190 days to be exact. It's been 3,153,600 minutes since her death. The feelings I felt were so unknown, an empty void. I was too young to understand. I believed I was to blame. I still am. I tied a rope necklace around my neck and with an empty mind, pulled on it. I fell before the light escaped my eyes and hit my head. Memories now in bits and pieces. But her, never. I would never forget.
Since then, an aching, painful feeling has begun to arise inside of me. She is gone, yet I search for her bright smile and beautiful eyes. I don't know why or what this is. But it feels good.
It feels so good.
Why do I feel this way?
She hasn't left.
My Best Friend
My Queen
My Love
still exists.
Leslie Burke is alive.
It's crazy, I know. But aren't we all.
