I decided to escape by climbing out my bedroom window and getting down my two story house using my mom's window box.
Sorry mom, they weren't that pretty anyways.
Oh yeah and if you're wondering. Yes, MY room. My mom gave birth to yet another girl named Ramona, 3 years ago who shares a room with May Belle. Oh and if you're wondering about my two other older sisters they moved out to go to College with their stupid 'badass' boyfriends. I sighed and walked away. Wow, it's been quite awhile since I've been down this path. I looked down and smiled. The purple flowers are still blooming.
"Welcome King Jesse!" They sang.
I tried to smile at them as they did they're little dance. I walked through the grassy fields and the little fairies fluttered as usual to ask for the passcode.
"Nothing will crush us." I said, chocking back the tears. I remember Leslie's words like it was yesterday.
She fearlessly climbed us the enormous tree. The wind was in her hair and she looked absolutely stunning with the sunset light shining on her glowing face. Her eyes glowed and she had such a thrill in her eyes. She insisted Jess would come with her and they looked off into their kingdom together. This was theirs, theirs forever. She was his queen, he was her king. They were ready to embrace the start of something new.
"Nothing will crush us!" Her voice bellowed, overpowering the silence of the forest they were in.
They looked at each other and smiled. And indeed, they made an oath that nothing will crush them. But what they didn't know was that something would crush Leslie in a few days, and end her life of bravery.
The vines cleared up and I entered paradise.
"Terabithia." I sighed as TJ (troll Janice), gave me my crown.
"No, not today. Right now, I'm just Jesse." I replied. She nodded and left me alone. I can't remember anyone doing that to me anymore.
I went up the very tree Leslie and I sat on when we made Terabithia. The pegasi and giant butterflies smiled at me as I stared out into the land. I'm not here for smiles. I'm not here to see any of the creatures at all actually. PT, a now senior dog, sat on my lap as my tears matted on his fur.
Suddenly one of the leaf women flew up to the tree. I tried to wipe my tears but it was too late. She saw me at my weakest moment.
"Your Magesty, Queen Leslie would have not liked you to weep." Leaf Queen said, handing me one of her leaves to use as tissues. I said my thanks but what she said just made me cry harder. She flew away and I just sat there, finishing all the tears left in my body.
I sat there for a couple of hours until it was getting dark. I decided to check on Allison and see what's up. I mean, Leslie 'abducted' her or something of that sort. Does that mean she still remembers me?
I went through the secret entrance Leslie showed me before, and I was in the Klepton's house. I crept to the back of the building because that's where Alli's bedroom is. I looked through the window and there she was. A peaceful sleeping Allison.
"I knew it. She wouldn't be here, Les doesn't care about you anymore, Jess." I muttered to myself. I observed for a couple of minutes until I gave up. Leslie was IN Allyson. For good. As I walked away I heard light footsteps on the back porch. I thought there was a burglar until it showed it's face. Leslie. It was her. Well, technically her spirit. I noticed that she was holding tissues. Was she crying? She never cries. I walked up to her and she backed away.
Great. Even ghost girls run from me.
"Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you." I told her.
She slowly emerged from behind a plant. She walked close to me to lean in for a kiss. What did I do? I stupidly puckered up as I feel a slight poke near my neck. It was a knife. She tricked me.
