"My name is-"
"Night!'Some one was calling my name and shaking me. "Wake up!"
"Hmm? What?" I asked as i sat up and opened my eyes to see Jake sitting there with his gun drawn. A few feet away a zombie lay dead.
"Come on let's leave before more zombies come." He said as he pulled me up and we ran to the truck.
When in the truck came the twenty questions.
"Night why did you fall asleep? And why in the open?"on and on but i couldn't answer them.
I was already falling asleep.this time it was me visting him.
"Hello there starnger." He said.
"Hello." I said as I sat next to him on his porch.
"I'm amazed you came to see me." He said.
"Why wouldn't I come you told me to. I'm your pet rember."
"You might be my pet but your different than the rest. You can chose if you want to come to me or not."
"So."
"So you could be hanging out with friends.Or you don't have friends except me."
"What! I have friends. It's just.."
"Just?"
"They are all perverts. They all act like I'm mommy."
"But your not a mommy."
"No i'm not." I said.
His smile was the last thing I saw before I heard people screaming out my name.
"What." I said as i sat up. I relized i was sitting in a spare hosptial bed Sophia kept around.I was also in the emerceny room.
"You fell asleep and we couldn't wake you up."Said Jake.
"So?" I asked.
"You have been asleep for hours. Also your heartbeat was going crazy." Jake said."We all thought you were dead when your heartbeat stopped.
"I see." I said not really caring.
"Do you even notice what i just said."
"No." I said. I was thinking more about why i've been having those dream. Could it be that he was close by.
"Night, you need to eat ." Sophia said as she brought in a tray of food.
'Okay." I said as they both watched me while i ate. Which is completely akward.
"Do you think Night fainted?" Jake asked Sophia.
"No. She just fell asleep. Maybe her body is growing." sophia said, but i knew better. She knew me.
"Well i better be headin to sleep." jake said.
"Kay night." Sophia said. "I know your not asleep Night."
"Do you rember our joke?" I asked.
"Which one?" She asked as she sat down beside me.
"When ever I go to sleep you aways say night Night." i said as i looked out towards the night sky.
"Yes i know."
"Do you know why i told you that was my name?"
"No."
"You have seen my powers." She nodded her head.
I rember that day. We were getting attacked. Zombies all around us. I just couldn't let them hurt Sophia. So I burnt them all to a crisp. That's why Sophia has always study me. I didn't mind. She also found out i could heal zombies turn them to humans, but that usally ended up bad. The zombie always seem to fall back into pattern. I now can change zombies back to humans for a week but no one in our group knows any of this.
"Night is part of a nickname i was called."
"Really?"
"Yes i was called Nightmare Child. I could make peoples nightmares come true."
I felt sick admitting it. Everything fell silent as Sophai petted my hair softly and I looked towards the window. Wishing that once more my chairs were lifted so i could fly again, but no I stuck intel my sister says those words.
Befoe i knew it I fell asleep. This time though my dreams were pitch black.
