Jerry burts through the doors at that very moment."Night!" He screamed pulling out his gun. "We have zombies coming up the stairs."
Jake looked at him."How did they get in?"
"They came through the broken window downstairs in your basment." I said walking closer to The door and looking out of it. These zombies weren't that old. Luckly they were the special zombies either. The ones that run with vampire speed or the ones that won't die unless you hit them twelve times in the head.
Jake stepped close to me and looked out. He looked around. "We have to save my people." Then he started down the hall away form the zombies and started opening doors. I sighed this was going to be alot of work.
I followed behind him and so did Jerry keeping close.
After opening about 20 doors he finally open one with a little girl in it. She was wearing a blue little dress and her red hair fell down behind her. She was about five years old. She looked up at us with her green eyes. She held a doll close to her. Jake toke her hand and kept finding more people after that.
When we found the last person we also found a special zombie. It was the kind that if you look in it's eyes you wont be able to move and then ofcourse your eaten to death. Jerry and I have dealt with alot of these for the past months.
Jake looked at with amazment. I sighed now i have to watch to pains in the butt. I grabbed his arm and dirceted him away from the zombie.
"Stay." I sad.
What you think im a dog?" He asked.
"I have had training for these zombies and-"
He cut me off right there. "Ugh then you might want to kill it because it's right behind you."
I spun around sure enough he was. It amazed me cuz i didn't even sense it or saw it's thought. Maybe i should listen more closely.
As it was about to jump on me i quickly pulled out my gun and shot. It was like a slow moving movie. but sadly the zombie still landed on me and it was also dead.
Jake helped me get the zombie off me. "Well i do have to hand it to you i have never seen someone pull out their gun as quick as you did."
I just glared at hm. As i toke his hand he offered. "Where's Jerry?" I asked because it was akward for me to be the one being helped up.
"Over there."Jake said pointing towards the other side of the room where Jerry was talking to a pretty blonde.
"Well that explains all." I grumbled.
"What that he didn't help you?" Jake asked with a little amusment.
"Wait what does that mean?" I asked trying to look him in the eyes, but he kept avioding my eyes.
"Nothing."
"Lier."
Jerry came stroding over. He stopped and looked at both of us."How 'bout we bring them with us Night?" Jerry asked as he also looked at Jake, but Jake was looking at the wall.
"Fine." I said. That got Jake to quickly glance over at me. Yep this converation was NOT over yet.
"Fine." Jake said after a few minutes and Jerry went to tell everyone.
"I hope you don't mind but the place we live it's not as homey." I said.
"Nowhere is home in this world."
I looked at him. The words where just like i have always thought. "Well you can try." I said lamely.
"How?" He asked he was finally looking at me but it made me feel akward.
"Sophia told me that if you find people you feel are like family that it will always be like home with them." I said but i went silent. It hurt to talk about family when I only had a picture of them. Nothing but a picture no memories just a picture.
He looked at me and something in his eyes showed that he understood.
"Come on guys let's get the show on the road already!" Jerry shouted as he started headin out the door.
I walked after him as Jake followed.
"Is it safe where we are going?" Jake asked.
I looked behind me to see him looking at the wall. I slowed my pace and walked next to him. "Yes it is. Safer then here."
He looked at me."Do we trust your people?" He asked.
"Yes they all are nice. Sophia is the nicest of the group."
"Sophia?Who is she?"
'She is the woman who found me."
"She must feel important to you." He said all i did was nod.
We walked in silnce for awhile when i thought of a question."How did you know so much about me?"
"I was there at the church to i only rember a few things but not all of it. It's a blur."
"The same with me." I said as we stopped in the front of the building everyone was loading up in the bus.
I decided to walk and Jake said he would come along with me.
