"Jathose, what in the world are you doing in the training area so early?" Asked his mother. She was a kind and loving woman. Her name was Caoimhe.
"Mom I'm just trying to practice my powers." Jathose said. "I have to train to become the king one day."
His mother laughed. "Well first you have to have a healthy breakfeast to go along with your training." She said as he ran down the great hallway to the kitchen. The helpers were all awake and cooking.
"Hello Jathose." Said Jathose's friend Pete. "Wanna go to the river during lunch? I heard princess Elizbeth will be there."
"Pete you really are hopeless aren't you?" Jathose said as he sat down at a chair.
"Ya I know Jathose but still if I give up that means I'm spinless." Pete said.
Jathose and Pete sat by the river of demon tears.
"Hey look Jathose it's Elizbeth." Pete said. "Man Jathose only if I could get any girl like you can."
"I don't know what you are talking about." Jathose said as he pushed his dark hair out his eyes.
"Jathose you might only be seven but you can still can charm any girl or woman that walks by." Pete said.
"Well I'm not really interseted in them." Jathose said looking up at the sky. "There are these dreams I am having and there is a girl laughing and smiling and she calls my name. The wierd thing is I feel like she is real and that she is the only one for me."
Pete looked at him for few seconds. "Jathose your stupid there is no way."
Jathose just smiled and looked up at the rose bush blooming on the other side of the river.
Jathose woke up in the middle of the night from screams. "Mom what's going on?" Jathose asked as he walked into his parents room.
That's when he saw his mother on the bed. The sheets were covered in her blood. Her hand held a single piece of paper.
Jathose took it and read it.
Dear Caoihme,
I give you this letter to tell you that your brother and husband have just been killed in the war between Death and Life people. I'm dearly sorry for this but you and your son will be next to be killed. There is no way my men can be there to help save you. Your stuck on your own.
Jathose was grabbed by a maid before he could read the name on the letter. The maid to out into the night and brought him to a private school for warriors were he learned all he could.
James sat up from bed and walked the window. The zombies all dead and calm. Only if he could have done something for his mother and father. He looked up where was his sister at this moment. They were seprated at birth she went to a school to teach her basic ladyship manners, but who told that both parents were killed.
"You know death is always the hardest thing to get over." I said as I entered the room.
"Night, I can never forget that I didn'd do anything to help."James said as he sat back down on his bed.
"Jathose, don't for get that your not alone anymore." I said as I sat down next to him.
He lookedm at me."Really we are using real names are we? Well then maybe I should say yours. You really are stubbron ----"
I put my hand over his mouth. "No saying my name. Not till this zombie stuff is over." I said as I removed my hand.
"Can I atleast say your middle name?" James asked.
"No, now go to bed." I said as I picked myslef up and left his room.
I looked up at the stars. Such a foolish child. Don't you want your name to be heard? I mean then 'it' will know where to find you. The demons voice echoed in my head.
No I dont I want to find safety for these people then I'll ditch out. I said to my demon.
Even Jathose?
The words echoed in my head but I gave no reply.
