"This will have to do," Jasmine said as they walked into a cave. The other three didn't want to talk to them, while they were happy enough to talk to Winter, it was only after Jasmine told them about the girl. "We'll be able to talk to here. Leaf has given us permission to tell you. Along with River."
"Permission to tell us what?" Spring asked looking at them. River knew about them? Spring didn't know what to feel, she trusted her grandmother, but at the same time Gaia always told her not to tell her. "Grandmother would never hide things from me."
"Dear River has been hiding many things from you."
"Why would she?"
"If you wait, then you might find out," Ashleigh snapped glaring at her. She could think of a few reasons, for starters the girl's mouth and respect to anyone she thought she was better then. "But if want to know what I think? I think she didn't tell you because you would've told everyone, and they would've burned her to ash."
"I wouldn't!" Spring said she would never do that to her grandmother, she was able to keep this a secret, sort of, she did tell Summer, Autumn, Luna and Lily, but that's because she planned on taking them.
"You would. Not knowing what would happy. Admit it blondy, you're not that smart."
"Ashleigh, I don't know about you," Fauna said knocking her head in Ashleigh's shoulder. "But I would like to get on with it. Jasmine? Do you want to continue?"
"Of course," Jasmine said looking at them. They needed to know this, they were the second group to get this far. "I'm just going to get this out of the way, Gaia never wanted you to get this far. She doesn't want this to be stopped."
"But she told me," Spring said looking at her with wide eyes, Gaia wouldn't lie to her, she had known the women longer then she could remember. "She was the one who told me how the world was."
"So, if Gaia told you that you were blind," Summer said growling Gaia's name like it was poison. "Then you would believe? Or would you jump into the cold water, if she told you to?"
"No."
"Then how is this any different?"
"Spring, if you care so about cycles," Winter said her voice not giving away her irrigation, or her anger. "Then listen to them, they're older then Gaia is. So they know more."
"For cycles the three fought, River, Leaf and Gaia," Jasmine said thinking back to when they first came. "It had been awhile since it landed on this world."
"We don't know for how long, but Leaf was able to bin Gaia from the Light Village," Ashleigh said, she didn't want to tell the others, but she was telling Winter. The others were just there. "River on the other hand was able to stop her from moving past the Tribe's borders. It's the only reason this place is the way it is. Gaia's like a child, when things go her way, she tries to get rid of it, when she can't do that. She throws a tantrum."
"So we're looking for the light, the one that Leaf told me about," Winter said. She remembered that conversation clearly, but by the others expression. He hadn't told them.
"So you're telling me, that we would've passed it?"
"No, we haven't. I'm guessing it's in the middle."
"Why the middle?" Autumn asked she did look confident in her answer. "If you don't mind telling us."
"The way the ice's form, it looks like is comes from the middle. So we're going the right way," Winter explained, if Gaia didn't want this to be stopped. Then she would've created this, so that no one would find it. Making near impossible to even live. "If Gaia wants to stop us, she would've put it somewhere, where it would be hard to get to, no matter where you enter."
