Winter only looked at the frozen river, she had been able to shake off her dream. She had lost Lily, she didn't believe it, after all. Her sister was smart, no one who was smart, would risk their lives. Not on the 'death spot'.

River had given her the bell ring off, since it was Lily's time of birth. The Seasonal River was named after their tribe, going east would bring on to the Mountain Tribe and west the Animal Tribe, north was the River tribe, while north was her own tribe.

Winter only knew this, because she needed to know the borders. So that she didn't hunt on another tribes land, such an act can only end with two results, the tribes fought with each other, or the person got sent to the tribe whose land they hunted on.

"Winter, what's wrong?" a voice asked behind her. Winter turned around and such Luna, since knew that her sister liked the blonde, but she wanted to be by herself. That and she never talked to Luna, she rarely talked to anyone, now that thought about it.

"Something on your mind?" Luna asked. She didn't know if she was going to get an answer, it wasn't like she ever talked to Lily's sister. "You can tell me."

Winter only looked at her, and Luna sighed. She knew that Lily could be stubborn and she had wondered where the girl had picked it up, since she wasn't like a few cycles ago, but now she knew.

"I hear your staying with my sister." She had to try, she wasn't used to things being almost dead silent. She taught children, her sister never knew when to be quiet and Lily was almost just as bad. "Grandmother was talking about it. Said that she's been on your case, really she's like a puppy. Pat her and she'll be happy."

Winter sighed. She wasn't going to be left alone, not anytime soon. It looked like the blonde wanted to talk her, why? She didn't know, nor did she really care.

"Jess and I have been getting along well enough. Raven wanted me to tell you 'hi', by the way."

"That's nice," Winter said looking at her shows. She could do the same thing she did to Spring, but Luna was her sister's friend, so she might as well just say what needed to be said. "Lily ask you to come here?"

"Actually, Dylan did. She said something about not allowing you to..." Luna said. She didn't agree with the Dylan's words, but orders were orders. "So that you didn't hunt in your free bell rings. You weren't planning to."

"No."

"That's good."

"It's silly on anyone's part."

"How?"

"Too much risk."

"I thought it was risky?"

"It is."

Luna only looked at her. Sure Lily told her that Winter was smart, but she didn't know what to think. She didn't want to judge the girl, not until she got a chance to know her. She might be able to understand Winter somewhat. "So it's more risky going by yourself? Is there a reason?"

"Yes, there is."

"Do you want to tell me?"

"More of a chance of being attacked," Winter told her. She never talked about hunting with someone. Sure the guys would brag about who had the biggest kill, but usually they left her out of it. "Those in live in the forests are not kind. They don't care if you have a family waiting at home. Like we don't care if they have one. All in all, it's a fight. A fight to be able to go home."

"I see. Want to tell me what's wrong?" Luna asked, but when Winter just looked at her. She knew that she wasn't going to an answer. Not any time soon. "I had to try, Winter. I really had to try."
