"Oh gosh!" I yelled but no one noticed or heard anything except from Lexie because of the booming music. My panicked eyes scanned the room for a space. Nowhere. I started to jump up and down out of fright and saw an empty table through the snow-white curtains. I got Lexie to lift his motionless legs up as I cautiously lifted his head up. "Over on that table through the curtains!" I yelled to Lexie whilst nodding my head forwards. We quickly shuffled towards the table and placed Ricky gently onto the unoccupied space, with his bruised head resting on top of my arm. Lexie rapidly rummaged through her faux-fur coat's pocket, searching for her phone. She then put her right hand in her other pocket, rummaging through the right pocket, too. No phone to be seen. I couldn't move to get my phone out of my hand bag that was hanging on the hanger in the doorway because I needed to give Ricky's head some support. Lexie tried to run as fast as she could in her heels over to the door.
"Is it alright if I look through your bag to get your phone; I need to call the ambulance?" Lexie shouted across the room. I couldn't hear her through the clatter of the glasses and cutlery, the music and the chatter/giggling.
"WHAT???!!!!"I yelled at the very top of my lungs until my voice broke and I had a mini coughing fit. She mimed an image of a phone and pointed at my bag. Finally. I knew what she said so I nodded my head about fifty times. I kept whispering in Ricky's ear, "you'll be okay, Lexie's getting some help". I constantly kept repeating myself not only to keep Ricky awake and hopeful, but for my own benefit too - to give me some hope. Lexie came running back. But with no phone in her hand. She anxiously looked at me as her eyes started to flood. Just not with tears. YET. "No way, it was there when I came in, can you hold his head while I search again through my bag?" I said, almost breathless. Lexie took a massive gulp, nodded her head and replaced my arm with hers. I yanked off my heels, sprinted across the room and emptied the contents of my bag all over the empty piece of floor I was stood in. I moved everything that wasn't my phone to the side of me. There was no sign of my phone. I picked back up all of my stuff in handfuls and put them back in my bag, double checking that I left nothing else on the floor. I ran back over to Lexie and Ricky. I stared at Ricky, tilting my head in sympathy. A single tear ran down my rosy cheeks. Followed by another. And another. Then they were uncontrollable. I fell into Lexie's free shoulder and started sobbing like there was no tomorrow. If there was one for Ricky. I told Lexie to wait a second while I ran to find my mom to see if I could borrow her phone to phone the ambulance. My mom was dancing and enjoying herself until she turned around and saw my salty tears lying still against my top lip.
"Honey, what's the matter? Why are you crying?" she said, stroking my cheek.
"It's Ricky, he's fainted and I need your phone to call the ambulance."
My mom's face suddenly dropped and she immediately hauled her iPhone out of her pocket. I thanked her by giving her a kiss on the forehead and I ran outside for quietness so the ambulance could hear me. I had told them what had happened and they were there in the next ten minutes. I was sat outside waiting for them and when they came I grabbed one of the Paramedic's arms and dragged him to the table Ricky was lying on. Lexie's eyes had dried up and a very slight smile appeared on her pale face. They had some kind of trolley and placed Ricky on it, after counting to three.
"Is there anyone who wanted to come with this young man? Only two other people can fit in the van". The paramedic calmly informed us. Lexie and I told him he wanted to go.
"You lot go in the van,I'll be two seconds I just need to return this phone back to my mom." I exclaimed. I sprinted to my mom, gave her phone back to her and told her that me and Lexie were going with Ricky. She nodded and gave me a hug. I slipped my heels on and climbed into the back of the van, sat with Lexie and Ricky.
