I aggressively turned my car key into place and sped home at the highest speed I was allowed at. The last thing I needed was a fine. I pulled up in my drive way and stormed into the house. "RICKY. WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? THIS IS MY BABY AND I'M HAVING IT!" I screamed. He rolled his eyes and gave me an emotionless glare. I couldn't believe it, I had never seen this side of Ricky before. It was like an arrow shot straight through my heart. I walked over and sat on the sofa, next to him. "Come on, Ricky. We've never had an argument before, don't let it be about a baby. I thought you'd be happy." I softly said to him, my eyes swelling up with tears.
"Does it look like I'm flipping happy?!" He raised his voice at me. He had never done that before, either. I got up to storm off, I couldn't bare to look at him in that situation. But I wasn't successful, Ricky grabbed my wrist, with all his strength.
"Ow, Ricky! Get off, you're hurting me!" I yelled in pain. His teeth were gritted together, the look on his face was vicious.
"You're hurting me, you CAN'T have this baby! I won't let go until you tell me you're not having it!" Ricky yelled back. I was squirming around, trying to slip my wrist out of his tough hands with a very secure grip.
"Fine! I won't have the baby! But only if you get off of my wrist!" I cried out. He let go and I fell backwards, onto my stomach. Oh,no the baby. The tears suddenly burst out like a waterfall and sprinted down my red cheeks. Ricky took two steps back and kind of looked at me in a horrified manor. What was he looking at?
"I-I'm.... Oh.... I'm s-sorry..." Ricky whispered while stroking his face from his nose down with both hands. I looked down and saw a mini puddle of blood coming from my leg. When I fell, my leg banged against the corner of our glass table. The slash was followed by a trail of bruises on my calve. Wow. Who knew Ricky could be like this. I crawled away from him using my hands and managed to haul myself off of the floor. I started screaming and ran to my bedroom to get my phone and stuffed some clothes into my handbag and ran out the door. I already had my car keys in the pocket of my ripped jeans so I didn't need to worry about getting them. I ran to the car and drove to my mom's. I knocked the door whilst silently crying. After a few seconds I saw my mom's face. What a relief she was home and I could see my brother Frankie sat in the background watching some TV. It faded from a smile into a sympathetic and worried look. She put her arm around my back and gently pushed me inside.
"Hi, honey... What's wrong, wipe those tears off of your pretty face." My mom said, stroking my cheeks gently. Frankie turned around, saw me and ran straight to the door to greet me. His expression was the same as mom's. "Come sit down Ariana, Frankie would you mind going round to Starbucks to get me and your sister soy lattes please? Here's some money, get yourself something, too." Frankie nodded, insisted to pay for them himself and gave me a sympathetic smile on his way out. "So what's wrong Ari, is it Ricky?" Those words hit me and I started to cry again.
"Yeah but first mom, I need to tell you something." I sniffled. Mom nodded her head, motioning for me to continue. "Me and Ricky,.... We're having a baby.." I cried. My mom's face shone with an excited smile.
"That's amazing! Why's that so bad?" My mom asked, with a confused look on her face.
"He doesn't want it! He won't be a dad! I told him I wouldn't have the baby because he was squeezing my wrist but I obviously didn't mean it!" I yelled with tears streaming down again.
