“What do you mean I was going to slow?” I yelled at the figure behind the computer screen.
“I mean, I need the Phoenix and I need it now.”
“When things are done properly they take time, now because of your dumb ass move, I have the cops sniffing around, because not only was a teacher’s life threatened but that guy did it is dead and now that teacher is missing.” The rage that built in me was growing and with every word he said, it grew bigger.
“Well, you just weren’t doing it for me…” I cut him off before he could continue.
“What? I would have been in and out with no suspicion until after I was gone, but your impatience has caused this.”
“I needed the Phoenix, it is the ultimate weapon and you weren’t doing your job fast enough, so I decided to interrogate him myself.”
“You don’t even know what you’re looking for!” That’s when it hit me, Phoenix wasn’t an it, it was a who, and he was considered an ultimate weapon.
“I will expect you to have searched his house by this afternoon, if it is found by then I will release him if not…”
“Why is it important enough for your impatience to cause such idiotic decisions?” I asked him knowing full well what it, I mean he, is.
“That’s for me to know and you to find out.” He said calmly and then the conversation ended.
“Arrgh!” I grabbed the brief case and threw it against the ground smashing it to little pieces. I walked out of the kitchen and into my bedroom to see Nick lying on my bed with his feet dangling over the side; his hands lay behind his head.
“What did you break?” he asks with a smirk on his face. I walk into my wardrobe and take off the jacket I put on, since leaving the school. I do a quick change before coming out to see Nick had changed positions and is now sitting up leaning back on his hands.
“You look too comfortable for my liking” I say to him, watching him sit on my bed smugly.
“That’s because you are looking at an ultimate weapon babe.”
“You were eaves dropping on my conversation?”
“It’s barely ears dropping when you speak so loudly I can hear you.” Nick knew that I was here looking for him, as part of my mission, what he didn’t know however, was that I was also here to murder his father for keeping his identity a secret. “So why were you looking for me in the first place? What does this anonymous guy want with me?”
“I don’t think he realizes you’re actually a person, so I am going to try my best to keep that from him.” He didn’t reply. I went into the kitchen and I could hear his footsteps behind me. I walked over to one of the cupboards and opened it, then I pulled out the back of the cupboard revealing guns and ammunition.
“Shit,” I hear him gasp. I pull out two hand guns and load each of them. I stand up and hand one to Nick, he doesn’t hesitate.
“Let’s go!” I demand.
“Where?” He asks.
“Your house.”

“What are we supposed to be looking for?” He lets out an exasperated breath.
“Anything that would give us a clue as to who took your father.”
“I thought it was that guy who called me an ultimate weapon?”
“No, he just hired them.”
“I thought the bad guy would have a lair or something.”
“You’re thinking TV shows, in reality, when people like me are hired we do it at our own accord. However he is the first to contact me directly so, I don’t know how this guy works.” I say pulling things out of drawers and looking for, well … anything.
