"I think we should turn back," I whispered to Eda and Gale as we tip-toed the corridors of the huge building we called home.
"Don't be such a scaredy cat Adaira," Gale teased.
"Girls do you want us to get caught?" Eda questioned. We shook our heads 'no'. "Well then stop talking."
We quietly walked downstairs towards the large wooden doors that led to the garden.
"Oil please," Eda said. I searched into my small red backpack for the old plastic bottle containing the oil. I gave it to her.
Eda started applying oil to the hinges of the door to prevent it from squeaking. We made our way outside and stopped by the huge fountain in the middle of the garden. We were exhausted and needed to rest. I sat down at the fountain and just looked at the scenery surrounding me.
The garden was my favourite place here. It always was calm and peaceful. I always had a special connection here. The fishes that used to swim in the fountain were long gone because some of the cats lurking around the place ate them.
I just sat there treading the water with my hand thinking about everything.
I lived in a big boarding school for girls. Actually all the girls here live here. It's home to all of us. I really don't know how I got here. We all don't know why we are here, where we are from. We know nothing about our families. I always wondered about it...
This is quite a weird place it's like if you're here, you're here to stay, forever. We have guardians that watch over us. All female. There are no males here. We are told they live on the other side of the Lea, that's the name of our country. It's a small country. The girls live on the West and the boys live on the East. There is approximately 570km between our two 'schools'. We are completely landlocked country and there a huge walls at our borders. We don't have rivers but we have two huge lakes one just outside our school grounds and the other somewhere on the west. There is a small town in the middle of the country. It's also the capital. Sunnee. That's where we get our supplies and food from.--
"Adaira make haste or we shall get into hot water." Gale said.
Eda face palmed herself and I just looked at Gale weirdly.
"Okay, let's go."
"Soft!" A calm angry voice commanded behind us. There was only one person that used that word. Miss Stringfeld. We all turned to look at her with our heads down. "What art thee doing outside early in the morning?"
Ugh, another who tries to speak a different English. I need to get us out of this situation and fast.
"Paenitet redeamus ad thalamum eius placere non culpam, sed ad adjuvandum me festina," I said with fake tears running down my cheeks and ran away back to the building. I heard in the distance Eda curse in French and Gale speak in German.
Once they reached up to me we ran upstairs to our rooms. Miss Stringfeld only spoke English unlike the other guardians here, so we could easily confuse her and leave. When we reached our room we started laughing quietly between ourselves. "Adaira, you've got to improve your Latin I mean did you hear what you said?" Eda asked.
"Yes I know what she said," Gale kept making uhm sounds than translated what I said. " To please its Creator...was not her I'm sorry, let us return to our nuptial chamber?...but make haste to help me."
Wow that was bad. I groaned in my hands and went to lie on my bed. There were two bunk beds in the room. We had them squashed together so that we could sleep near each other. I slept next to Gale and Eda slept on top. Sometimes we would make space for her in between us.
"That was bad,"I admitted. We laughed some more and than we fell into a deep sleep tomorrow or today I should say was going to be a long day.

Eda, Gale and I were in the bathroom brushing our teeth when Anora, Celeste and Genevieve entered the small bathroom. "Hi," they said simultaneously... and coldly.
"Hello," we replied.
"So how did you sleep?" Eda asked. She is the most friendliest in our group. I still can't believe she was trying to be friends with these girls. For three years we've been pushed around by them.
"That's none of your business," Anora said to Eda, "Its our turn in here so get out."
There were three bathrooms each with twenty showers. On one of our adventures Eda, Gale and I found this bathroom it was our secret bathroom it was cleaner than the others and more spacious Anora, Celeste and Genevieve were following us and found out about it too. We made a deal that we would share this bathroom so she wouldn't open her big mouth.
"I don't see the problem," I said. "There are eight showers here. We can all shower."
Genevieve came to stand in front and said, "You're eyes won't be able to behold such beauty.
I scoffed at that than started chocking on the air. Who knew? Sure they were beautiful but If I was a guy I wouldn't even bother.
They narrowed their eyes on me and walked past to the showers without another word.

"Settle down," Miss Avalanche commanded.
The lunch room fell silent and all eyes turned to the Head Mistress. She cleared her throat and started talking.
"Yesterday night, Miss Stringfeld had an encounter with three girls. Apparently they speak Mandarin which is quite strange because we don't remember accommodating any Mandarins."
I kept a straight face. I looked at my two friends and saw Gale's face was red. She placed her head on the table and took deep breaths.
"Anyway," Miss Avalanche continued, "the month's chores have been put up, you know where to find it. Tomorrow is sports day. Wear your sports uniform. On Wednesday it's going to be a normal school day. There will be no after-school practices. Those who want new clothes the shop will be open at noon. No school on Thursday. Any day from now the boys will be moving into the school. Have a nice day."
Wait, what!? There was a minute of complete silence then 99% of the girls in the room ran out I just sat there with my friends with no words to say.
