Evangaline's POV
It's so clear like it happened yesterday, although many months has passed. Nash was literally perfect. Messy chestnut hair, eyes blue and deep like the ocean, broad chest and trim waistline. Captain of the football team and the school president. He was a senior and everything I dreamed of.
One and a half year ago, I met him. It was at Nick and Nicole, the twins 18th birthday party. The party's theme was blue and silver so I remember wearing this royal blue lace dress with a diamond Charlotte Russe heels, with my hair straightened into a messy half up and half down style. I felt glorious, with Alexander by my side, wearing his shimmering grey shirt with the sleeves up and a navy blue tie. The night was young, and the party was wild.
It was close to a nightclub. Nicole and Nick, the olive skinned duo were right in the middle of the dance floor dancing with each other. There were giggles everywhere.
My eyes searched for familiar faces, there was George sitting down at the bar with a bottle of wine and then there was Yvonne with the other girls dancing right beside Nicole and Nick. And then I saw him. He made his entry right in the middle of the dance floor all suited up. He looked beautiful. He was a senior and I was a junior in the same senior high school. Just one grade apart. How I wished I was in the twelfth grade like him. It was May, 2014. I will get to see him for another four months till our summer vacations begin. No shame denying that I crushed on Nash - hard.
I knew he was a Gemini, I knew that he had one hell rich of a family, and I knew he was the most beautiful guy I had ever seen. I watched his every move. His actions were lithe.
How can someone be so perfect?
The lights dimmed but remained constant. The room was now illuminated by the soft gold glowing lights. Light, soft music enveloped everyone in the room. Alexander took my hand and led me to the dance floor. My eyes shifted from Nash to my best friend. Alexander had wavy hair, light brown with golden streaks. His amber eyes looked so bright and intense.
Alex placed his palm delicately on my waist and waltzed around gracefully. He was several inches taller than me and with him, I felt home. He smiled as he looked down at me and I could see both his dimples. Cute was the middle name of Alexander Mathews.
The music changed to a faster pace as I swiveled around to change my partner, just like everyone else. Huge, warm hands found their way around my waist. I looked up and the glorious blue eyes. Nash.
"Hey, beautiful," he said softly. His warm breath brushed over my cheeks. A woodsy fragrance veiled him and enticed me closer to his body.
"Uh- hey," I managed to what I think was a flirty smile playing on my lips. Honestly, bless my stars. How many girls get to dance with their crush in an absolutely romantic ambiance.
Well back when ever this happened, I was an idiotic girl led by her hormones.
His thin lips curved into a sexy crooked smile. "How come we have never talked before?"
"Well..maybe because you are a senior, school president, A grade student and the captain of the school football team?"
"And you are a junior, smart girl in your class with flawless face and hair. Evangaline, is it?"
I paused and looked at him right in the eyes. Flirting rule one-oh-one, capture their attention by staring right into their eyes. His eyes weren't exactly deep blue, now to see t properly, it was turquoise, somewhat very close to deep blue. His lips played a delicate smile. So the guy I actually existed, "Seems like someone had done their homework." I let the red shade completely settle down on my cheeks as I smiled and also bit my lips every now and then.
He let out a chuckle form deep down his throat. He looked up, basically no where and swallowed. I swear his adam's apple was sexy too. Oh maybe I was just over doing it.
The music changed to a faster pace again. By my side I saw Alexander getting Nicole as his partner. I smiled. Nicole had a huge crush on Alex so I guess all the girls are getting to dance with their crushes. Alex turned to him, as if he sensed my gaze at him and smiled.
"Hey, you know what?" Nash said at my ear.
"What?" I shouted over the loud music.
"We should go outside."
I nodded and at once, he held my hand into his own and led me out to the garden. "I really did not want to switch my partner."
"You know what, neither did I."
