After God only knows how long I finally woke up again, I had a splitting head ach and my arms and legs were zip tied. I opened my eyes and looked around; I was in a completely different place. "Where am I?" I rolled onto my back and sat up; looking around a little more, I was in some kind of tent.

"Whats yer name?"

I looked to my right to see the older man with the crossbow sitting in a chair looking at me.

"Kid, whats yer name?!" his voice carried a sense of frustration and anger in it. He sounded really mean, and it bothered me.

".....Alice.... My name is Alice..." I said in a low tone after a few moments of hesitation.

"Ye sure do got guts kid." He said to me before standing up and taking a few steps over in my direction.

I quickly began to kick myself back trying to get away from him. I managed to back myself into a corner but he still walked to me.

"What do you want with me?" I asked sternly, I could hear the fear in my own voice and I could feel tears beginning to form in my eyes. No I couldn't let him see I was weak, I had to be strong.

"Could ye just relax already, I ain't gonna hurt ya." He stood in front of me then knelt down to my level. I looked him in the eye when I knew tears weren't going to fall. I could feel myself begin to tremble. Damn I really needed to get a hold of myself.

"How old are ya?" he asked in a softer tone.

"S..S...Sixteen" I stuttered.

"Damn, yer a youngin'. Have ya been out there all 'lone this whole time?"

I nodded.

"What do you want with me? Please just tell me." I shouted at him.

At that moment the man wearing the sheriff's walked into the tent.

"Daryl stop integrating her, can't you see she's scared out of her mind?"

Was it really that noticeable that I was scared?

"Please don't be scared, I promise that we won't hurt you but you have to have a little trust." He really did sound sincere; his voice was soft and comforting. It made me less tense.

"My name is Rick Grimes and his name is Daryl Dixon" he nodded over towards the man with the crossbow. "What is your name?"

"Alice... Alice Andrews" I said with a more relaxed tone.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Alice. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?"

"I'm sixteen."

"Were you all alone out there?"

"Yes..." Just then I remembered they had taken my stuff. "Where is my supplies and bow?"

"We'll get it all back to you in due time, it's safe. Where is your family?"

"I was an orphan, given up day of birth." I said looking him in the eye. His eyes looked soft and full of compassion, for some odd reason I didn't feel threatened by him.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I'm not."

I moved around awkwardly still restrained, I managed to get my arms out from behind me and lay them in my lap.

"I'm going to ask once again, what do you want with me?"

"All we want is to help you. I swear to you that's all we want to do." He looked at me with honest eyes which made me relax even more. "But we have to ask you a few questions, ok?"
