You think that you're going to live long in this world, eating and drinking according to your own free will, committing deeds that are sinful and not caring about what happens when you die? No. This world isn't a real life for you. Real life is the life you live after Hereafter. This world, people, is just a test. A test to make sure that you pass to enter into Paradise. Otherwise we know the evil people go straight to Hell unless they repent before their death.

So, The Day of Judgment is the day that will mark the end of the world. A day where Allah Ta'ala will resurrect the whole of mankind to judge them by their deeds. Good deeds i.e, obeying Allah, worshipping Him only, following the sunnah of the Hazrat Muhammad(S.A.W) will lead you to Paradise. On the other hand bad deeds i.e, not obeying Allah Ta'ala, shirk, doing sinful things that aren't certainly allowed in Islam will lead you to Hell. Unless if you repent and surely ask help and forgiveness from no one but Allah, you might get saved from the severe punishment of the Hellfire.

The Holy Qura'an states that;

"And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein forever..." (Qura'an, 2:82)

The life we are living nowadays is very short. We might die today, tomorrow or within this week and only Allah knows and we do not know. It is said that the unbelievers on the Day of Judgment will think that life on this earth they lived was merely a part of day. There is a difference between the 'Earth' and 'Heaven and Hell'. There are both good and bad things in this world. Heaven consists of all the beautiful things like luxury mansions, gardens with blooming flowers, flowing rivers and a place of pure bliss. Whereas the Hell will be full of immense sufferings, extreme temperatures, unquenchable thirst and blazing fires.

In comparing this world with the Hereafter, the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said:

"The value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when you put it in and then take it out..."

The meaning is that, the value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like a few drops of water compared to the sea.

Belief in The Last Day and Afterlife is foremost equal to believing and having faith in the unseen. Muslims seek salvation in the hereafter by living a God-conscious and virtuous life in this world. The fear of accountability in the hereafter, along with hope in the promise of God's ultimate justice, motivates them to orient their present lives around the comprehensive worship of God, the true purpose of human existence. In this way, they endeavor in this temporary life for eternal joy.
