So as I had enlisted few of the minor signs in the previous chapter, I shall now explain them to you in five parts in each of the coming future chapters.

1. The Arrival Of The Holy Prophet (S.A.W):

Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) had mentioned us that he himself was the first sign of the The Hour. He was the prophet to the end of time; he has been sent and there will be no other prophet between him and the Day of Resurrection. Sahl ibn Saad(R.A) narrated,

"I saw the Messenger (S.A.W) indicated with his two fingers like this, the middle finger and the one that is next to the thumb, saying,

"I have been sent when the Hour is like these two. And he said: "I have been sent at the beginning of the Hour..."

2. The Death Of The Holy Prophet (S.A.W):
The tragedy of our beloved Hazrat Muhammad(S.A.W) is one of the early signs of Al-Qiyamah. Awf-ibn-Malik once said,

"I came to the Prophet (S.A.W)during the campaign of Tabook when he was in a leather tent and said,

"Count six things prior to the Hour: my death, the conquest of Jerusalem, death which will spread among you like the qua'as (murrain) affects sheep, abundant wealth where a man will be given one hundred dinars and will not be content with it, turmoil in which no household among the Arabs will be unaffected, a truce drawn between you and Banu Asfar  i.e the Romans or Byzantines (today they are Europeans and Americans) which they will break and will come to you under eighty banners beneath each of which will be twelve thousand..." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

The death of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was one of the greatest cataclysm to befall the Muslims. Madeenah grew gloomy and downhearted for the Companions (R.A) when he died.  It even is said that Hazrat Fatima (R.A) i.e the youngest daughter of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) didn't even smiled and was full of distraught so therefore she too died six months later after the death of her father.

3. The Splitting Of The Moon:

We all know that the moon was once splintered into halves. It was one of those miracles performed by Allah during the time of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W). Allah Ta'ala had the power to break it and then piece them together. And here the NASA had a hard time to believe it and they even claimed that it was a hoax and a lie. Evidently, they even hided it from the whole world.

Allah Ta'ala says in the Qura'an:

"The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder..."
"And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: 'This is a continuous magic..." (Al-Qamar: 1-2)

Hazrat Anas(R.A) is reported to have said:

"The people of Makkah asked the Messenger (S.A.W) to show them a sign, so he showed them a sign by the splitting of a moon."

It is said that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said: "Bear witness" when they all were in Mina, the moon split into two, one part behind the mountain i.e Qubays and the other part in front of it i.e Qu'ayqa'aan

4. Conquest Of Jerusalem:

When the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was sent, Jerusalem was under the control of the Byzantine Christians whose empire was vigorous and strong. The Prophet (S.A.W) foretold the conquest of Jerusalem and counted that one of the signs of the Hour.

Jerusalem was conquered during the time of Caliph Umar Al-Khattaab (R.A) in 16 AH/637 CE; he cleansed it of disbelief and built a mosque there. Jerusalem was conquered twice:
First Conquest: During the time of Hazrat Umar (R.A)
Second Conquest: During the time of Salaah Al-Deen Al- Ayubi in 538AH/1187 CE.

Jerusalem will be conquered again, by Allah's permission through the hands of the good believers of Islam at which point the trees and the rocks will be saying,

"Muslim, slave of Allah, here is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him." ( Sahih Muslim

5. Widespread Death Like Murrain Of Sheep:

The disease of murrain of the sheep is the one that affects the livestock, causing something to run from their noses, and then their sudden death. The Prophet (S.A.W) likened the widespread death to murrain of sheep because the plague appears as weeping ulcers on the body with sudden death of the infected person.

This is thus one of the signs of the Hour and is in citation to widespread death that occurs during scourge. It was said that this occurred during the plague of Amwaas' i.e Emmaus. The plague (Al- taa'oon) occured with swelling to the body, accompanied by severe pain and fever. It was a lethal and a transferable disease. It was named after a Palestine town name Amwaas', close to Jerusalem.

Narrated by Awf-ibn-Maalik (R.A), the Prophet (S.A.W) said:

"Count six things prior to the Hour..."

And among them he mentioned,

"Widespread death which will spread amongst you like the murrain among sheep..." (Sahih Al- Bukhari

During the time of Hazrat Umar (R.A) and after the conquest of Jerusalem in 16 AH, the plag became widespread in Syria in 18 AH. More than 25,000 Muslims died from the horrible disease. Many leading companions also died because of this plague such as Mua'adh-ibn-Jabal, Abu Ubaydah, Abd Al-Muttalib, Shurahbeel-ibn-Hasanah etc. (May Allah Ta'ala be pleased with them.)
