Sara's Point Of View
"Hey!" Nick says from the other end
"Hi!" I switch the phone from my left ear to my right
"What are you up to today?"
"Nothing!" I shrug "Just going dress shopping"
"For the spring formal dress?"
"Yeah!"
"Great! I need to buy a tux too, I'm coming with you!"
"What?" I shake my head "No!"
"Why?" He whines
"Nick-" I hear knocking on my door "Hold up!"
"Come in!" I yell
"Be ready in 15 and wear something nice" Dad says as he enters my room
"Excuse me!" I raise my eyebrows
"I have a business dinner and you're coming with me"
"It's a business dinner! Why do I come?"
"Because I said so" He glares at me
"Fine!" I huff and dad leaves, I bring the phone back to my ear "Nick! You still there?"
"Yeah! And how can I not, baby?"
"Ugh! Stop being cheesy!" I roll my eyes "Anyway I gotta go!"
"Wait! I'll come with you!"
"Plans changed I'm going with dad to some business dinner or whatever"
"Business dinner?"
"Yeah! Now bye!" I hang up and head to my wardrobe to find something to wear after a few minutes of searching I settle on a long sleeveless red dress, I put it on with black heels and a black coat, I put some blusher, mascara and just when I'm about to put the lipstick I hear someone shouting from downstairs
"Sara! Get down now!" Dad shouts
"Ok! Just a minute!" I yell back as I slip some of the red lipstick on my lips, I then head downstairs to find dad waiting impatiently at the front door, he opens the door and make his way to the car and I follow him, he gets in the driver's seat and I get in the passenger's.
The first few minutes of the drive we stay in silence and it's pretty awkward, it has always been awkward between me and dad always!
"So why didn't you take mom with you? Did you two have another fight?" I finally decide to break the silence
"No!" Dad huffs "And how many times did I tell you that my problems with your mom are non of your business?"
"Just asking, dude!" I shrug and unlock my phone, might as well find something to entertain me and just like that a text from Nick pop up in my notifications
Nick : Hey Beautiful!
Me : Hi!
Me : I'm bored entertain me :)
Nick : K :)
Nick : How is the "Business Dinner"?
Me : On my way there!
