Sara's Point Of View
"Come over!" Are the first words to leave Nick's mouth once I answer his call.
"What?" I chuckle lightly.
"Come over!" He repeats "I'm all alone and I'm bored so, come and we can watch a movie or something"
"As much as I would like to I actually can't"
"Why?" He groans.
"I don't know" I shrug "Dad wants to have a father - daughter bonding time or some crap" I roll my eyes just at the mere thought of spending the whole evening with dad.
"Come on" He whines "I know you can find a way out of that"
"Actually, I can't. That's dad we're talking about" I say matter of factually.
"Right, So I guess I'll see you later?"
"Yeah, bye!"
"Wait!"
"Yeah?"
"I love you"
A smile makes its way across my lips "I love you too"
"Oh! And good luck tonight"
"Thanks!" And with that being said we hang up.
Just as I place my phone on my beside table I hear dad calling me from downstairs, I groan as I shout a small 'Coming' and make my way downstairs.
"Yes, dad" I say once I enter the living room where my father is sitting rather comfortable on the sofa.
"Go get ready" He tells me with a smile "And where something casual"
"Okay!" I sigh "Where are we going, dad?"
"It's a surprise" He smiles cheekily at me.
I roll my eyes but smile anyway, I always loved when dad was like that but knowing myself it won't last long as it won't take long before I make a comment that I totally shouldn't make. It's just that I always tend to be disrespectful to him which I obviously shouldn't but I just can't help it knowing what I know.
I scan the clothes in my wardrobe as I look for something casual to wear for that father - daughter bonding time, My eyes fall on a white T- shirt that just happens to be Nick's but I pick it anyway with black leggings and black converse to match with it.
After changing into the outfit I picked, I put on a thin layer of eyeliner and lip gloss before heading downstairs to find dad already waiting for me by the front door.
"You still won't tell me where are we going?" I ask as we make our way towards the car.
"Yes, and don't ask again" He deadpans.
"Fine" I groan as I slide in the passenger's seat.
"Be patient, kiddo" He says as he starts the car.
We spend the drive in silence an awkward one might I add with me just staring out the window and dad concentrating deeply on the road. After about ten minuets of driving dad finally stops the car in front of some burger restaurant.
"I'm sure you'll like this place" Dad tells me before getting out of the car, I only shrug as I follow him out of the car and towards the restaurant's enter. Once we're inside, I take a look around the place and actually like it as it has this kind of warm aura to it which instantly warms my heart. We make our way to a booth and a waitress takes our orders.
As we wait for our food to arrive dad clears his throat awkwardly before speaking "So, how's school been?" He asks.
"Good, I guess"
