Chapter 13

As I'm applying some mascara there's a knock on my door

"Come in!" I yell and instantly the door swings open revealing Nick "Nick!" I raise my eyebrows as he closes the door and moves closer to me "What do you want?"

"Oh! It's so nice to see you too!" He says sarcastically

"I mean how did you get here? Did dad just let you in?"

"No, your mother did" he plops himself on my bed "She said your father isn't here so it's OK"

"Ok!" I sigh

"Is your father strict or something?"

"Oh!" I shake my head chuckling slightly "No, He just doesn't want me to end up like hi-" I stop as I release what I'm saying

"Like who?" Nick raises his eyebrow

"No one!"

He stands up and moves towards me "You know you can tell me anything, right?" He asks looking deep in my eyes that I almost got lost in his blue ones

"Maybe, I'll tell you one day!" I shrug "Now, Why are you here?"

"First because I miss you" He grins "Second because I'm going dress shopping with you"

"What? Never!"

"Why?" He frowns "I wanna help you pick your dress! And honestly I suck at formal wear so, I need your help picking my tux"

"No!"

"Please!" He pouts giving me puppy dog eyes with those deep blue eyes of his

"Fine!" I huff "But you have to wear a matching tie!" I smile

"Ok! As long as it's not pink"

"No, even if it's pink!"

He groans "Ok!"

"Great! Let's go!" I get out of my room then down the stairs as Nick follows me

"Bye mom!" I shout as I open the front door

"Bye Mrs. Parker!" I hear Nick shout "We're going with my car!" Nick announces taking my hand and leading me to his car that was parked at the end of our drive way

"Put One Direction on!" I pout as Nick goes through his CD's

"Just for you!" He smiles putting the CD on "Even when you didn't say you miss me back"

"What?" I give him a confused look

"When I told you I missed you back in your room" He starts the car "You didn't say it back"

"Sorry! I miss you too!" I smile innocently at him

"Much better!" He glances at me smiling then back at the road.

The rest of the drive is spent with me singing along to every single song that played and Nick singing along with me but Nick would groan loudly when I shut him up while my favourite solos and he would complain when I begin fangirling over their angelic voices.

"Where to first?" Nick asks as we slip out of the car

"To get my dress for sure!" I say matter of factly

"Ok!" He takes my hand in his making heat raise to my cheeks. What's happening to me? I never blush!

We walk into the mall then to my favourite dress shop and since I am determined to make Nick wear a pink tie I only check the pink dresses and hand what I like to Nick to carry till I finish so I can try them

"You're doing this on purpose, right?" Nick asks noticing the stack of pink dresses he's carrying

"Maybe!" I shrug innocently "Now let me try them on!" I walk towards the changing rooms and he follows me

"Where should I put those?" Nick asks motioning to the stack of dresses he's carrying

"Put them inside!" I point to the changing room and he does what I said, he then gets out and plops himself on the couch that is in front of my changing room, I get inside and try on the first dress which is a long long sleeveless hot pink dress with a black robe around the waist and a black rose on the right side, it was gorgeous but definitely not on me "I'm not coming out!" I call as I look at my reflection

"Yes, you're!" Nick says sternly

"No!" I say as I get the dress off, I try all the dresses on and not even a single one looks good on me, I huff as I try on the last dress, My jaw drops as I see my reflection in the mirror, the dress is perfect, it's the same as the first one but shorter, it ends just above my knees "I'm coming out!" I announce opening the door then stepping out

"Finall-" Nick stops when he sees me, his jaw dropping

"What?" I ask looking at my feet

"You look..." He pauses "Beautiful!"

I blush again "You'll have to wear a pink tie!" I tease

He chuckles "Totally worth it!"

We head to the cashier, I pay for my dress then we go to pick Nick's tux which isn't hard since they don't have a lot of options, we settle on a black tux, white shirt and of course a hot pink tie.

"You wanna grab something to eat?" Nick asks after paying for his tux

"Yeah! I'm starving!"

"Ok! Let's go!" He struggles to hold my hand from all the bags since he insisted to carry my bags too but he does manage to hold my hand after all, we then go to the food court and order our food "So!" Nick says putting a fry in his mouth "How was today?"

"It was fun!"

"Glad you enjoyed it!" He smiles, we eat the rest of our food while talking about random topics.

After we finish eating we head to the car, the drive back home is silent but it is a comfortable silence which is pretty strange to me since I always thought that silence is awkward because if it's not awkward between two they're gonna find something to talk about but apparently I am proven wrong and honestly I enjoy this kind silence.

"I'll see you in spring formal!" Nick turns to me after pulling up in my driveway

"Yeah! Thank you for today!" I smile

"Actually thank you!" He smiles back

"See you later!" I open the passenger's door

"Bye!"

"Bye!" I slip out of the car and head to the front door.
