Zeus PoV

Before my very eyes, I saw Sally Jackson murdered. In surprise, I looked around. Poseidon, Hades, Artemis, Apollo, Hermes, Hera, Demeter, Hephaestus and Hestia were in shock. Ares was in a murderous rage, screaming, "Who killed her? I wanted to do that!". Aphrodite was shrieking, trying to get the blood away from her dress. Dionysus woke up. Me? I mightily flashed my Master Bolt. The only one unaffected by the whole thing was Athena. Completely blank, I noticed she didn't have her spear.

Then I felt something. Something powerful. And it was heading our way. Dear Chaos. We were in trouble.

Athena PoV

I was blank. After keeping in all that rage, I was emotionless. Good that spy had to die. Her son was the one who left my favorite daughter in sadness. She deserved it.

My mother. Dead. For something she didn't do. I was blank. Then I turned furious. Why did she have to die? It was wrong. Too wrong for me to keep back.

As I was thinking, all my memories flashed. Luke, taking a dagger to his Achilles Heel. Charles Beckendorf, dying in the explosion. Zoë Nightshade, dying in my arms. Michael Yew, falling from the collapsed bridge. Thinking of those memories made me fall deeper into my slough of anger.

I couldn't hold it any longer. My anger went in the form a earthquake which went directly to the council. The Gods yelped and backed up and asked me to stop it. But here was no stopping my anger.

"Who among you accused my mother for being a spy?", Perseus spoke, deadly calm. Zeus pointed at Athena. "What evidence did you give this council?"

"Nothing. It was logical that Gaia knew all our movements from someone close, the closest and most vulnerable being your mother."

Percy smiled. Clearing his throat, he started,"So, Athena here has submitted her brilliant opening statement. Being the goddess of wisdom, all of us dumb mortals and immortals alike cannot doubt her words. In her own special way, she is the true ruler of this Council. Letting you all run around, thinking that you run the show, while she manipulates the show. That is what she is, a manipulator. A snake, a viper. A powerful one at that. And these kinds of people are the most dangerous. Her daughter takes after her. But ultimately, there are the people who see them as they are. A crawling beast which will hunt you down and kill you. Slowly and painfully. These people who can see threaten her. One such example was Arachne. You never told the full tale, did you Athena? You made her insane, didn't you? And what for? Just to satisfy your bloody hubris. Arachne was right, you were a sore loser after all."

After my outburst, I let go. Sobbing, I barely noticed the council getting back on their thrones. Apollo, Hermes, Hades and Hephaestus looked at me with pity. Zeus looked terrified [Not too much of a surprise]. Poseidon was sobbing. Hestia was holding me, comforting me. Athena, on the other hand, was FURIOUS. And the rest of the council? They were looking at me with disgust. Judgement. Rage.

All of a sudden, Athena stood up and took the spear. The entire council tensed. Taking the spear, she started cleaning it. Seeing that, the room relaxed. In that moment of surprise, she threw the spear at me. I tried dodging it, but it hit me on my side. Gasping, I curled into a ball. The spear was cold. Like, DAM cold.

Athena, smirking, approached the council and said, "This child has come to our council to kill us all. Like his mother, he is a spy. Kill him now!". At first, no one budged. Then, Zeus stood up and thundered, "What Athena has said is true. I will kill this traitor myself!". Poseidon, immediately standing up from his stupor of depression, blocked Zeus with his trident.

"My son is no traitor. He has saved us not once, but twice. If this is Olympian Justice, I will have none of it", said my father, echoing Artemis's words, which caused her to frown.

Hades also levelled his sword at Zeus.

"Touch my nephew and you will pay."

Seeing this conflict, I told,"Stop. This will solve nothing."

Hades and Poseidon both hesitated, and relaxed their guard.

That was then Zeus acted. He threw his MasterBolt at me.

I looked at it coming at me. What I was going to do was suicide. But I had nothing to live for.

As the MasterBolt came forward, I grabbed it. Yells of surprise reverberated from the Council. Tartarus, even Dionysus was awake! I then took it and broke it. Yes, broke it. Yes, it did make me half conscious and burnt half my body, but I didn't care. I was dead anyway.

Half-conscious and about to collapse in a Council where nearly everyone wanted to kill me, I did the logical thing. I jumped off Olympus.
