Nico loved rainy days and never liked the fact the camp always kept away the rain clouds. So during breakfast one morning when he saw the storm clouds gathering and raining around the perimeter of the camp, he jumped up immediately and headed towards the rain.

As he passed the Apollo table, his boyfriend, Will looked up, "Where are you going?"

"To the rain," Nico answered, "Wanna come?"

Will shook his head slightly, "Nah, I don't really like the rain."

"How can you not like the rain!?" Nico asked incredulously.

"Its so cold and wet and the sky is so dark...." Will said.

It was in that moment that Nico decided he was going to get that boy to hang out in the rain with him if it was the last thing he did, "Okay, that's it. You're coming with me. I'll prove how awesome the rain is. It'll be fun."

"Yeah, fun," the girl sitting next to Will wiggled her eyebrows.

Will stuck his tongue out at his half-sister, "Shut up, Alicia," he laughed before turning back to Nico, "Fine."

"Awesome!" Nico said, grabbing Will's hand and practically dragging him out of camp.

Will shivered every time a raindrop hit his skin, "What is there to do in the rain anyways?"

"This," Nico grinned, jumping in a puddle and splashing water all over Will.

Will gasped at the sudden spray of water and glared at Nico for a second. Nico was afraid he'd made him mad and was about to apologise when Will grinned back and kicked water from a different puddle back at him.

For the next few minutes they ran around jumping into puddles and splashing each other until they were both soaking wet and laughing so hard their stomachs hurt. Now they were sitting at the base of Half-Blood Hill, just letting the rain soak them even more.

Nico smiled, "That was fun," he said, "I haven't done that since Bianca..." his smile faded and he shook his head slightly like he was trying to clear out the memory

Will wrapped an arm around him, "Well then we should go out in the rain more often."

"I thought you hated the rain," Nico said, resting his head on Will's shoulder.

"I still do," Will said with a smile, "I just love seeing you so happy, it's adorable."

And the two of them sat there, holding each other in the rain, until people started looking for them and calling them back to camp.
