*Still Alex's POV*
She was just so different! I never thought I'd see a girl like her! Her clothes didn't show off her figure in anyway, they were rather baggy, and not very interesting. Her dull, brown hair was pulled back into a pony tail, and she looked as though she never smiled. Her brown eyes held no spark or brightness and they looked at everyone with a critical way. Her face seemed to be permanently stuck in a blank if not slightly annoyed expression. Her face was not covered with make-up and she didn't have a butt-load of people surrounding her acting like idiots. I don't know why she intrigued me so, but she did.
"Shall we go sit down?" Brittney suggested. Sexily motioning towards the bench where the girl was sitting.
"Sure." My brother replied, using his smile that melts girls' hearts.
As we walked to the bench I couldn't take my eyes this intriguing girl. She was actually pretty good looking once I could see her a bit better. But I could tell that she could be A LOT prettier if she wanted to.
"Who is that girl?" I quietly whispered to Melanie, who had sat down beside me, a little closer than I was comfortable with. She was so close that when I turned around she was less than an inch away from face. I saw a confused look drift into her eyes.
"Why do you care?" She said, obviously trying to hide the annoyance in her voice.
"Umm..." I said trying to find a reason for my random question. "Because I'm new and I would like to know the name of my fellow classmates." I quickly responded, flashing her my own heart melting smile, hoping that would help her not question me further.
Thankfully, it worked. Her eyes regained that flirty look and she gently touched my arm. "Her name is Taylor." She started, looking over at Taylor with an evil gleam in her eyes. "She's not very highly thought of at this school. That is by the students anyway, the teachers love her. And that doesn't win her any points either. Yeah, she's the hideous, unpopular, uninteresting girl that no one wants to be." Melanie finished her explanation loudly and a few people around us snickered.
For a split second I thought I saw a hurt look cross Taylor's face, then came a mask of anger. "At least I'm not a slut, who's probably gonna get herself raped because she's constantly showing off way more skin than she needs to." And with that she stormed off into what I later learned to be the science building.
"You know that wasn't very nice." I said looking Melanie straight in the eyes.
"Oh, who cares?!" Melanie replied. "It's the truth isn't it?! And she knows it! She must have accepted it too, because I didn't see any sign at all that suggested she was hurt by what I just said!"
"Some people are good at hiding there feelings." I said quietly shrugging my shoulders.
"Oh really, is there any feeling you're hiding from me?" she said, leaning in even closer.
"Actually yes," I said flashing her one of my seductive smiles and acting as if I was actually interested in the little she had to offer me. Brent obviously decided that there was something fishy about the way I was acting, because out of the corner of my eye, I saw him give me a funny look.
"I'm all ears." She said leaning in lose enough that I could have kissed her all too easily.
"I've been hiding the fact that I was thinking the exact same thing as Taylor." I heard everyone around us gasp. And after giving Melanie a quick 'ha-ha' smile I jumped to my feet and left. I just wanted to get out of there before I got slapped and/or before my brother totally got on my case. Plus, the bell should be ringing at any moment. I racked my brain to try and remember what class I was supposed to be going to. Then it hit me, I'd be going to science. Where Taylor was.
