Interesting morning

The next morning I was awoken by a body landing on me. I scrambled to get out from under the giant and being only half asleep made it really hard.

"What the fuck. Get your fat ass off of me." I mumbled. Laughing burst from the room. I opened my eyes to see a very cheery Gabe sitting on me. I looked around to see a full house. Cas had joined us at some point and everyone was dressed and ready to go.

"What the hell?" I still was not quite here yet. Gabe stood and tried to help me up.

"It's time to wake up. The boys called me when they couldn't get you to wake up."  Gabe explained. I rolled my eyes and ignored Gabes offer of help. I picked myself up off the floor.

"You are all jackasses." I muttered. They laughed my attitude off and started packing the car while I changed into travel clothes. I hated wearing jeans in the car.

"Ummm you know there is snow on the ground." Cas said in pure confusion. I heard a couple chuckles.  I rolled my eyes and grabbed some shoes which would be promptly taken off.

"Let's hit the road." I said as soon as I had finished. Gabe rolled his eyes.

"Meet you guys at the bunker." With that and a flutter of wings both he and Cas disappeared.

I walked to the impala and the whole time was muttering about the cold. Dean was supposed to hurry over and heat the car up while Sam paid.

"Hey. Christmas is going to be over before you get to the car." I yelled.

"Oh my god. Christmas is in like four days." Dean yelled back. I nodded and rolled my eyes. I already had Dean and Sams gifts. They were simple enough. Necklaces made with strong cord that is easily removed from your neck to wrapped around someone else's. I got Gabe a feather. Which is a joke between us. I get him a different bird feather every year. He gets me something very human every year.

I struggled with Cas. I eventually got him a book. He liked reading at the bunker and this book was awesome. The original Grimm tales. I thought he might like it. I also got a little surprise for Sam.

We had been driving the last leg of our trip and wound up at home late that night. I was exhausted and walked in the door and collapsed in my bed. I fell asleep and had to deal with an annoyed Gabe in the morning.

"Look I am sorry I was tired. I fell asleep. I wasn't  pissed at you." I said for the millionth time.

"Alright alright. How was the drive?" Gabe asked.

"Long as fuck. I was trapped in a car with Dean who never stop bickering with Sam. He is annoying." I complained.

"And Sam did nothing. Did you take his side for everything?"

"Maybe." I muttered blushing. Gabe started chuckling.

"Nice. Totally not obvious. " Gabe laughed.

"Whatever. Anyway what did you and Cas do yesterday?"

"Nothing but some Christmas shopping. Which by the way is where the brothers went." Gabe explained. I nodded.

I stood and picked up my empty coffee cup from the table. I walked into the kitchen and put the cup in the sink. I walked back out and padded towards the library. It was where Sam kept his laptop.

"Hey Cas. What's up." I asked as I walked in. Cas was sitting at the table reading another book.

"This book is quite interesting." He said not looking up. I nodded. I grabbed Sam's laptop and opened it. I pulled up Skype to talk to Bobby and Charlie. They were supposed to be coming down for Christmas. In good old fashioned carpooling style they were driving down together.

" Hey Lex what's up." Charlie said. I smiled.

"Nothing. Just checking to see when you thought you might be here."

" Well, according to Bobby we will be there in about two hours. He had me get up at the crack of dawn. It was ridiculous." She said. I laughed.

"Well I can't wait to see you. Bye Charlie. Bye Bobby." I said closing the laptop after hearing their goodbyes. I picked up my phone and texted Sam.

Charlie and Bobby will be here in two hours. Get them something for Christmas from me. Please. I will pay you back.

I sent the text and walked out into the living room. I turned in the T.V and looked for something good to watch. Nothing was looking good so I put on some animal planet.

"Hey Lex, I got to run. Heaven needs me. Be back soon. BYE CAS" Gabe yelled. I heard a flutter of wings and the bunker felt more empty. I focused on the television when I noticed Cas walking around the corner.

"Did Gabe say something? I heard him yell." Cas asked.

"Yeah. Heaven needed him. Said he would be back soon. Wanna watch some animal planet with me?" I offered. He shrugged and sat in Deans chair. I smiled and focused back in the screen. There were puppies on screen. I could not help awing over how cute they were.

My phone buzzed. I picked it up to see a new text back from Sam.

Yeah I got her and Bobby something for you. Don't worry about paying me back. You just owe me one.
