My feet touched softly and sand almost swallowed me up to my ankles. Despite feeling sick to my stomach I grinned. The beach. The soft sounds of the waves crashing against the shore. The occasional scream as someone was thrown into the ocean.
"This is perfect." I muttered. I was glancing around wondering where we were.
"Lex I know we haven't talked about our relationship. I think before we eat we should" he said. I could hear the nervousness. The unsure of whether he wanted to know.
"Of course feathers." I replied as casually as I could. He smiled down at me. He gestured for us to sit on the ground and I slowly settled myself down pulling me feet under me.
"What happened with Sam." He asked. My heart raced.
"I don't know. I found myself missing you. I found myself wondering if you were okay when he was around. Then he would ask stuff that would make my heart race. When I was with you." I whispered. I was so scared of being rejected.
"Good. It's settled then. You are mine. And I yours." He said. His arms circled around me and pulled me into his lap. I was a giggling mess and a little awkward.
That night ended with us eating ice cream and holding hands as we walked the beach. We whispered nothing to one another. Eventually my phone rang and I answered to a frantic Dean and Sam wondering "what the hell happened to me." I snickered as I explained and Gabe dropped out hands.
He flew us back and I was greeted with a bone crushing hug from Sam.
"Next time tell us where you are." He said. I could feel his worry still. I looked to Gabe for help. He just shrugged.
"So you can hunt now." Dean asked. I grinned and nodded ready to get back out there.
"Good because we have been hunting a demon across three states. He keeps murdering people for no reason then switching bodies. If you could do your magic that would be great." He asked. I could hear the exhaustion.
"I will see what I can do. I still have the book with all the demons names. I will get you the name of the demon. That should help." I said. I was already crossing off demons names in my head. I blankly walked down the hall towards my room. Gabe followed. I opened the door leaving it open for hi as I searched through my desk and bookcase.
"Where the hell is it. It was right here." I muttered. I kept that book under lock and key in a small chest. It wasn't there. Gabe stared before starting to help me look
"I think I found something more interesting." He said bemusedly. I turned to see him going through my underwear drawer. He was currently holding up a pair of boy shorts. He made eye contact and wiggled his eyebrows. I laughed before flipping him off and continuing to look.
"Lex. I believe this is the book you have been looking for."Cas said from the doorway. I looked up and saw he held the small leather journal. I relaxed immediately taking it from him with a thank you.
"Hey Cas how are you and Dean?" I asked casually. I watched as the normally uncaring angel blushed deep red.
"H-He and I are good. He likes my feathers." Cas stammered out. I made a mental note of that little tidbit and nodded.
"Thank you again Cas." I said tryin to keep the amusement out of my voice. He just turned and left. I looked up at Gabe to see him grinning.
"I know. That was great black mail material. I think I will ask Cas questions more often. Dean doesn't tell me shit." I said with a laugh.
"What doesn't Dean tell you?" As asked from the hallway. I laughed at his curiosity and looked to Gabe. We both thought about it and nodded with a devilish smile.
