"You like Donnie?" He followed me up the stairs to the front of the house as I lightly hit the door knocker against the large door. His voice sounded frantic and very agitated, making me think twice of what I said.

"No, not at all. Have you met my boyfriend Scott?" I turned to him with my eyebrows raised.

"No, and I don't plan to," He sat down on the small stairs with his elbows resting on his knees. "They aren't here yet,"

"Why don't you want to meet Scott?"

"Joe's told me about him,"

"Oh so does Joe like to talk about me now, with you in particular?"

"No, it's because I ask him,"

"Ask what?"

"About you," He looked at me, this time lust didn't reach his eyes, the smirk wasn't there and he wasn't licking his lips. Before I could reply, loud music boomed from down the street, catching both of ours attention. "It's Danny,"

"Oh okay," Is all I managed to say. The car pulled up and out stepped Danny, Joe and a girl I've never seen before.

"Oh God," Jordan muttered, turning towards me and giving me an exaggerated smile.

"Jordan, I haven't seen you since July! How are you?" She ran and gave him a hug and I couldn't help but hold in my laughter from Jordan's uncomfortable face.

"Julie, hi," His expression fake. "This is Cindy, Cindy this is Julie," He introduced us as Joe and Danny came up the stairs.

"Hi, nice to meet you," I smiled wide, trying to be as welcoming as possible.

"You too," She was really nice, making me intrigued to know why Jordan seems to dislike her.

"Let me open the door, it's freezing out here," Danny struggled to hold the heavy box that I assume were his records as he put in his keys to unlock the door.

"Here, I'll hold it," I offered, grabbing the box from his arms.

"Thanks Cindy," He smiled, opening the door and letting me inside. "Just put them on the counter," I wiped my boots on the mat and placed the records where he said.

"Movie?" Julie asked as I heard the door close and saw Jordan walking to us with his hands in his pockets.

"Let Cindy pick, she knows what's good," Joe answered. I was thankful for the compliment but I needed to talk to him about leaving me with Jordan at the diner.

"Yeah, movies are the large draw under the TV," He pointed to the direction that I went to, sitting down on the carpet as I opened the compartment to see loads of VSR's.

I skimmed through them quickly, trying to find either a movie I've always wanted to see or one that I love.

"Yes, let's watch Red Dawn," I suggested, turning to see them nod.

"I love Patrick Swayze," Julie squealed, taking the tape out of my hand and looking at the front cover.

"Here, I'll put it on," Danny turned on the TV and the VSR player, slipping in the movie and hearing the weird sounds as it operated and played. I sat by Joe who was next to Jordan, leaving Julie and Danny on the other couch. The movie started and I sunk into the soft cushions, looking at Jordan and seeing him nibble on the inside of his mouth. He saw me staring, making me immediately direct my attention back to the movie.

I didn't know what possessed me to look at him or why inside my stupid little head wanted to switch him and Joe. I could feel his eyes still on me, pressing my tongue on the back of my bottom teeth to stop my smirk from turning into a smile.
