Chapter 7

Chapter 7:

Did I hear him correctly? I couldn't blink, move, or speak I was standing there motionless.

"I know I don't show it but I like you Nikki."

Still no words were coming out.

"I'm going to need you to say something."

Speak Nicole, say something.

"I uh have to use the bathroom!" I blurted out and ran towards the bathroom. Real nice.

I was standing in front of the bathroom mirror and all I could see is a totally confused girl. I kept repeating to myself I'm dating Adrian. But the guy of my dreams was in the other room waiting for an answer to a unspoken question. I think I'm ready to go back in there. I opened the bathroom door and saw him laying on his bed. DON'T DROOL!

"Hi." Really? Hi? Wow Nicole.

"Hey, sorry about all that. I know your dating Adrian but since the first day I saw you back in freshman year I've had a secret crush on you Nikki."

Holy shit! My dream guy has had a crush on me since freshman year?! Ok now I really know I'm hearing things.

"I don't know what to say to all your telling me Joesph. I've liked you since middle school but its not that simple anymore. You can't expect me to break up with Adrian because all of a sudden you supposedly like me. I have to think and figure this all out. But what I don't get is that two weeks ago you were angry with me and completely ignored me and now your laying this all out, out of the blue." I let out a long sigh. Good speech Nikki I didn't know I had that in me.

"I was upset because of what happened in the parking lot. But I ignored you because I found out you were dating Adrian. This isn't out of the blue it's been with me since my sophomore year."

"Well right now I can't do anything about that."

"Fine, just get out of my room."

Is he kicking me out? What the hell? Bipolar much?...

"Um seriously?"

He walked over to me grabbed my wrist and shoved me out of his room.

"Whatever Nikki I have nothing more to say to you." Slammed door to the face. I felt like he slept me hard across the face with his cruel gestures and words. I seriously don't understand him.

*Next day*

"Happy birthday!"

I opened my eyes slowly and found my bed crowded with all my friends.

"Let me sleep!" I threw the covers over my face but someone yanked it off.

"You have to get ready for your party! Your 18! Woo hoo!" Leave it to Sandra to point out the obvious.

"But first we really want to give you the presents we got you." Sammie always bought me the best presents. But I really didn't like people waisting money on me.

"Me first!" Of course Sandra. I grabbed the bag from her hand and sat down Indian style on my bed. I quickly pulled out what was inside the bag. It was a book filled with broadway show tunes. Lovely. (Note sarcasm!)

"Thanks Sandra."

"Ok me next." I grabbed Kate's present and unwrapped it quickly. It was a bath&body works gift basket. I loved it.

"Aw thanks Kate."

"Here you go." I opened Nathan's present and saw so many one direction things in there I almost passed out. I love one direction! I jumped up and attacked Nathan with a hug.

"I love it! Thank you so much Nate."

"I think you'll like mine better." John winked at me and I knew he was up to no good. I was scared to open his present. I was right to be scared, the bag had a bunch of sex toys including a vibrater.

"Ew John. You would." I rolled my eyes but I was excited for the two last present. Ricky's and Sam's. I grabbed Ricky's first. It was a small box inside was a necklace with the word forever on it.

"I have the best friend on my key chain."

"Awww thank you Ricky its lovely."

Last present! I opened Samantha's present and oh my god no way! Two tickets to the one direction concert. Floor seats! I couldn't contain my happiness I just jumped up and down on my bed going crazy.

"Thank you soooo much Sam! I cannot believe this. Oh my god! Ahhhh!"

Relax Nicole! I stopped jumping because my phone buzzed.

'Hey babe can't wait to see you.'

One from Adrian. And...

'Uh your mom called me to help decorate your party. I'm on my way.'

You can guess who that's from. This is gonna be an interesting birthday.

Bam! Who's excited for Nicole's birthday? I know I am ;) a lot of drama in the next chapter. Be prepared ;)
