Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

The music was deafening it was insane how many people were here. Max lived by the beach and his parties were epic so obviously everyone was here. There was more than a hundred people here. We'd been here for thirty minutes and I had already lost Sam in the crowd, she was going to kill me. I went to pour my self a drink, knowing that Sam wasn't going to drink she would be the one to drive us home. I was moving my hips to my favorite song 'I could be the one' by avicii when I heard my crazy friends they were yelling my name and motioning me to go dance with them. I danced my way to there circle on the so called dance floor.

I had the weirdest yet coolest friends, they were hilarious and I was just grateful to have them in my life. We were a group of eight counting me and Sam. There was Nathan my big bearded teddy bear. Sandra the crazy one who sang songs every two seconds (drama kid). Kate the responsible one out of all of us. John the funniest guy alive. And lastly Ricky my best guy friend he's been my best friend longer than Sam has been, I've known Ricky my whole life. He was like my brother and it was amazing to have two great bestfriends like Ricky and Sam. We were going crazy dancing to the newest song 'clarity' by Zedd. I was feeling kind of light headed...I was on my fifth cup of beer I seriously needed fresh air.

"Hey guys I'll be right back I need some fresh air." They all nodded and kept dancing.

The fresh air hit my face and I already felt way better. I sat on one of the benches and took my shoes off. I started playing in the sand with my toes. The sand was warm and soft. Through the corner of my eyes I saw movement and I turned my head and saw a god staring at the moon. Oh my god! It was Joesph Rayne. I quickly put my shoes back on (yeah I didn't really like people staring at my feet...my weird pet peeve) and wiped my sweaty hands on my shorts. Oh god just his presence made me nervous. He locked gazes with me then he smirked at me and sat down next to me his eyes never leaving mine. I'm going to pass out!

"Hey. How come your out here all alone?" His voice was the sexiest thing I have ever heard in my life! Damn him and his good looks!

"I-I-I could ask you the same question." Great I'm stuttering. Way to make an impression Nicole.

"It was getting to noisy and packed for my liking I just had to get away from all that insanity." His hazel eyes were still locked with my caramel eyes.

"Yeah me to. I needed fresh air. I guess I had a bit to much to drink."

"Max and his parties. So um do you go to North High?" Of course he didn't know I existed till this moment.

"Yeah, I'm a junior. I'm Nicole but I prefer to be called Nikki."

"Nice to meet you Nikki, I'm Joesph." He extended his hand to me and I shook his hand. Vibrations were coursing all over my hand. "I haven't seen you around school. Maybe because your not in my classes."

Joesph was a senior so of course I didn't have classes with him. But I always see him during lunch and pass by him in the hallway.

"Yeah...uh I guess I'll go back inside now."

"You should stay and keep me company." He smirked at me. How could I say no to that face. He's adorable!

"Um, ok."

We mostly spent the time looking at the moon in silence. It was getting kind of awkward...but then he spoke.

"So I kind of lied when I said I haven't seen you around school." Wait what?!

"What do you mean?"

"I have seen you around school with your blonde friend. Samantha right?" I nodded. "Your Nick's sister." I nodded again. Everyone knew my brother Nick, he was the quarterback of the schools football team and Joesph was on the team with him. My brother was also a senior, I knew he knew Joseph.
