Chapter 9

I was currently inside my closet looking for something to wear while Adrian just sat comfortably on my bed.

"Hey want to help me not look hideous for this party?" I threw a shoe at him to get his attention and he chuckled because I missed.

"Nikki you'll look good in anything you wear, you can be wearing a garbage bag and you'll still be the most beautiful girl at that party." He's to sweet. Gosh his dimples are perfect. 

I finally found something decent to wear, a yellow flower print tank top with a nude cardigan and blue high waisted shorts. I did my make up and hair and went back into my room when all of a sudden Adrian's eyes were basically eye raping me.

"What? Is the outfit that bad? I mean it's not the cutest but I wouldn't call it ug-" I was cut off by his lips crashing into mine. He wrapped his arms around my waist while I did the same around his neck and ran my fingers through his thick hair. Our lips were moving in sync with each other, I was in heaven. He pulled away first to breathe. He looked into my eyes as if he was searching for something.

"You look beautiful." I felt my cheeks heat up. Instead of speaking I just peck his lips and pulled away from his hold.

"Time to go." He smirked and reached for my hand and inter wined our fingers. 

*Party at the lake*

I was grabbing drinks for me and Adrian when I looked up he was talking to some girl. I threw the drinks aside when I saw her put a hand on Adrian's shoulder. The inner bitch in me came out and I walked towards them.

"Hey." They turned around and acknowledged my existences how sweet of them...note my sarcasm!

"Hey Nicole this is um Veronica." I looked at the girl, she was very pretty her only defect was her pointy nose. 

"It's so nice to meet you Nicole, she's a keeper Adrian." She gave me a super fake smile. Ewe her perkiness was annoying me.

"Nice to meet you too." I gave her my bitch smile and she noticed because her whole perky facade dropped. "Who exactly is this Veronica person?" I said that only Adrian can hear.

"She's um well she's uh my ex girlfriend." Oh hell no. He's talking to his ex girlfriend. 

"I'll let you two catch up." I said annoyed and stormed off towards the lake. I heard him call my name but it wasn't till he grabbed my wrist that I turned around to face him.

"What?" I said angrily.

"Why are you so upset?" I rolled my eyes and yanked my hand away from his hold.

"Oh I don't know maybe it's the fact that you were talking to your ex! Why are you even here shouldn't you be talking to her anyways?"

"No. I much rather be here with you. I'm sorry she just came up to me and started talking about stuff I didn't really care about."

"Whatever Adrian just stop making excuses! Just go run off to your precious Ver-" Once again I was cut off by his lips attacking mine. This time I pulled away first and smiled "you seriously need to stop doing that." He then cupped my cheeks with both his hands and kissed me with more passion and I couldn't help but enjoy it. 

Once we were done with our little make out session we walked hand in hand towards the lake and sat on the grass. I couldn't help but stare at him, he's so gorgeous. 

"Like what you see?" Busted. He was grinning at me like a fool.

"I-I um uh I don't know what your talking about." He just shook his head playfully and pulled me closer towards him. He put his arm around my shoulder and I laid my head on his.

"You sure your not cold?" I snuggled up against him and smiled.

"I'm fine right here."

I felt like I was in a dream, but luckily for me it wasn't. This was the realest thing I've ever experienced in my life. He suddenly pulled away from me and led my hand towards his heart. His eyes were filled with love and happiness.

"Nicole Anne Bailey I am completely and utterly in love with you. My heart belongs to you and no one else." He's said those words before but those were just him saying it playfully, this time I knew he meant it. I could tell by the way he said it and the pure love in his eyes.

"Adrian Cruz I am completely and utterly in love with you too." His lips suddenly grew into a huge smile and he attacked me to the ground laughing. Even his laugh was sexy. I was laying on the ground with him on top of me. Don't go thinking nasty thoughts children. 

He kissed me with passion and love and once again I was in heaven. I didn't think it could get any better than this. I love Adrian and he loves me and that's all that mattered in that moment.

Soooooooo isn't Adrian just the cutest? I think so :) what did you guys think of Veronica? She'll be bugging Nicole in more chapters. Next chapter will still be at the party and all you team joesphs get ready for him ;) hes back!
