Youngest Justice

Simply Chocolate (Chase)

Mount Justice 6:00pm

I walk behind my sister and my mother towards a huge mountain here in Happy Harbor. My mom a.k.a. Ms. Martian explained to me and Skylar that the mountain is a secret hideout for young superheroes called Mount Justice.
As we arrive in our new suits my mom transports into Mount Justice. "Recognized. Ms. Martian B03." the computer announces. Skylar and I stand outside awkwardly waiting until the computer says, "Access granted." we walk towards the zeta tube. "Recognized. Supermartian C03, Superboy C09."
It takes me some time to grasp my surroundings. Finally the blurred lines come together as one and I can see clearly. Man, that's gonna take some getting used to. I see the Mistress of Magic standing in front of us.
My mom and Zatanna exchange smiles like they haven't seen each other for centuries. "Well look at you and your adorable kids." Zatanna squeals. Skylar scowls at her and I do too but just in my mind.
"Thank you. I'm sure that you and Dick will-"
Zatanna cuts her off, "actually, me and Dick broke up."
"Oh I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything." My mom bites her lip.
"It's fine Megann you didn't know." Before my mom can respond a girl with a black lace mask and dark hair peeps from the wall. She smiles sheepishly when she realizes she got caught eavesdropping.
"I'm sorry. Uh Red Z isn't there a funny sound coming from this wall?" she puts her ear to the wall. I look over at Zatanna and she rolls her eyes at the girl.
"Don't bring me into this!" a male voice shouts from inside. She frowns.
"Ok Spell do you mind showing our new well, newest members around?" Zatanna motions toward us.
"Of course I don't mind." she smiles and waves her hands motioning us to come. Skylar and I exchange looks before following Spell through this grey hall. "Guys? Do you really want the tour of the whole place or would you rather stay on the couch with Red Z and watch tv?"
"Well-" I start but Skylar cuts me off.
"We would love to chill with Red Z at the couch." Spell happily moves through the hall and into this area where there is a green couch and a plasma tv. There's also a small kitchen. Red Z, I assume that's him anyway, is on the couch. He doesn't look up at our arrival. Skylar starts looking through the cabinets in the kitchen so I sit down next to Red Z.
"So what are you watching?" I ask trying to make small talk.
"I don't know. I can't find anything good." he flips through some channels.
"I'm getting hungry are you hungry?" I ask.
"Actually yeah. So what-" suddenly I can see chocolate splat the tv and I feel it covering a side of my face. Skylar is laughing really hard. We face them and I notice Spell and Skylar covered with chocolate. Spell's face is red with embarrassment.
"She, she thought she could make a chocolate smoothie. So, so she put chocolate bars in the blender." Skylar says between laughs.
Spell runs out of the room. Red Z sighs and follows her. Zatanna and my mom walk in. "What happened?"
"Don't worry about it Megann I can clean it up with magic. Let me just look for my wand." Zatanna says and hurries out of the room.
Mom fixes us with glares, "what? It wasn't us it was that Spell chick." Skylar says.
"I don't care who it was you guys get off your butts now!" mom says. I grab a rag and give another to Skylar. She groans as she gets up. Well we have to clean up Spell's mess, which is simply chocolate.
