Third Person POV
Miyeon was sitting at a table with Jungkook and the rest of the school's Kingkas. She of course couldn't take her eyes off of Park Jimin. She had fell for his sweet smile and cute and fun energy when she had met him a year ago. She tried not to be too obvious, only taking glances at him at a time, biting her lip so she wouldn't smile like an idiot since she was so close to her crush.
She wanted to sit next to him so much, to be so close to him that she could take in his scent to remember it forever. But she was stuck being next to Jungkook, her childhood friend who she of course saw like a brother, shaking off any hints that might of meant he liked her since she thought of them as just too close.
"Miyeon... Aren't you going to eat your lunch? You keep looking at Jimin." She froze at Jin's sudden words. Had she been that obvious? She couldn't help but curse at Jin mentally, thinking that if he saw her looking at a guy then he shouldn't blurt it out like her mom would.
"Eh... She was looking at me?" Jimin smiled, Jungkook looked over at them with a confused expression. "Yeah, didn't you notice it? She even licked her lips once." Miyeon blushed at the things Jin had been saying. "N-No. My lips were just dry!" She was beyond flustered and didn't want to get caught now. "That doesn't explain why you would be staring at him though." Suga joined the conversation, making her feel more anxious.
"It doesn't matter if someone as cute as Miyeon stares at me, next time I'll just stare at her back." Jimin winked at her, making her heart helplessly skip a beat. She shyly looked down at her untouched meal, Jungkook eyeing them somewhat enviously.
He hadn't told the other members that he liked her, he thought that if he did then they would tease him and she'd find out. He knew she'd reject him so he decided to live quietly beside her, watching her get more beautiful as the years passed into the present. The sudden idea he had never really acknowledge popped into his head as he watched Jimin and Miyeon.
She wasn't going to be single forever. She was going to find someone eventually, she was going to be with another guy that wasn't him. It hurt his heart at the sudden realization and it hurt even more that he realized that it was very much possible that one of his own best friends might be that guy he would envy the most.
His knuckles tightened into a fist as these thoughts filled his head. The way Miyeon looked when Jimin complemented her, her face flushed and the shy smile she had on her face made him so irritated that he wanted to just scream. He couldn't make her blush that way. She didn't see him as a man, but a kid, her childhood friend.
He stood up quickly, making everyone turn to his direction in confusion. "I need to get some fresh air." He spoke, trying his hardest not to be noticeably irritated but failing.
He walked out of the school's cafeteria, everyone in the cafeteria was silent for a moment then they started to talk again, everyone but the Kingkas and Miyeon.
"What's wrong with him?" V said in confusion, they all shrugged. Miyeon started to eat then stopped, she couldn't get rid of the feeling that something was wrong so she stood up. "I'm going to go check on Kookie." She murmured before leaving the cafeteria.
She decided to look for Jungkook on the roof since that's where he would always go to clear his mind if something was wrong. She opened the door to the roof and found Jungkook leaning on the railing, looking at the view. She walked over to him with a worried expression and tapped lightly on his shoulder.
He turned around immediately with wide eyes then composed himself when he saw Miyeon. "What's wrong?" She questioned, completely oblivious to the fact that he was jealous of Jimin. He shook his head. "Nothing." He lied, she knew he was lying. "Surrrre. Come on Kookie, you know I can tell when you lie." She ruffled his hair to try to cheer him up but it only made him more frustrated since she could make his heart beat faster with out even trying or even intending to.
He quickly slapped her hand away, eating a concerned expression from her. "Seriously Jungkook. Tell me what's wrong, you know you can tell me anything." She reminded but he knew he couldn't tell her that he was Jealous and that he was frustrated about how he knew she'd never be with him. He was afraid that he'd scare her off or upset her, completely shaking off his feelings for the sake of her.
"Nothing... My stomach was just hurting a bit so I wanted some fresh air." He said half lying since the sight of Jimin and her did make him feel nauseous. She put her hand on his cheek, gently caressing it with a concerned expression. "Are you getting sick? Do you need to go to the nurse? I'll take you if you want." She felt his forehead. He couldn't help but blush at the feel of her warm soft skin pressed against his.
"No. I'm feeling a bit better." "Okay. Then want to go back? They are waiting for us." She asked and turned towards the door, Jungkook hugged her from behind. She was caught off guard for a second even though she usually has skin-ship with him. "Stay with me." He send a shiver down her spine.
She gently pushed him off and laughed. "You sounded like a kid. But if you want me to stay here I will just for you, Kookie."
What she didn't know was that when he said those words he meant that he wanted her by his side forever, but he didn't misunderstand since he knew she didn't feel the way he felt. He smiled despite the pain in his heart.
They both laid on the roof, looking at the clouds pass. The Bell suddenly rang. "Lets go." Miyeon said and started to stand up. Jungkook quickly pulled her back down. "Lets ditch." She was shocked at his suggestion. Jungkook was the type of kid who would try go to class even if he had a fever of 103°. "What?" She asked, not sure if she heard that right. He looked at her in her eyes. "I don't want to go to class." He said, he didn't want to go since Miyeon had to sit next to Jimin in that class.
She agreed since she didn't want to leave Jungkook alone in the roof. They sat there, watching the clouds continuously even though the periods were passing by. Jungkook was sick of hiding his he felt, but he was scared to confess. He wanted to tell her how frustrated he was... So he opened his mouth.
"Miyeon..?" "Yes?" She responded instantly. "So... There's this girl..." He hesitated, Miyeon immediately 'ooh'ed and looked at Jungkook in a curious manner. "What about her?" She urged him on. He cleared throat, slightly regretting that he said anything.
"Well... She's really frustrating." Miyeon tilted her head in confusion. "I like her so much but every time I hint at me liking her she acts like its nothing. She doesn't see me as a man and I'm scared that she's falling for another guy." He said, Miyeon frowned in disapproval. "Jungkook... Don't give up on her. If you like her so much then try to make her like you back... I mean, I don't think my crush likes me but I keep trying to be around him."
Jungkook tensed at the words "crush". Was he going to loose her this quickly? His mouth went dry and he got nervous. "... You have a crush? Who is it?" He asked, not wanting to know but he needed to. She suddenly got flustered.
"You promise you won't tell?... And don't get upset that I like him." Jungkook nodded.
"I like... Jimin."
