Chapter 17

Arden

"Where are they?!" I growled marching up to Luke. This was going to ruin my chance. I needed to get them to the facility.

"Like I said, in the barn, " The others were already making escape routes but I took charge instead, "Guys the other day I found something that could lead us somewhere. We need to find Ellie and Calum, now."

Everyone nodded, taking different parts of the farm, trying not to be noticed by walkers.

Come on..find them. Arden this is your chance to show them that you're capable of becoming the leader. Make dad proud.

(Before the fire)

Ellie

"...I HATE YOU!" I screamed at him, "I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU WHY DID I EVER LET YOU INTO MY LIFE" I pushed Calum repeatedly, he didn't do anything but let me push him around.

He deserved it...I mean not completely deserved it but I had so many emotions running around and taunting me. I didn't  entirely mean everything I yelled at him for but I just needed to let it out, you know? I've had so many bottled emotions inside of me since the day the keepers found me, I just needed to let go.

I finally stopped pouncing at Calum but he only stood there like some lost child, "Well? Is nothing really all you have to say?" I couldn't help but feel the tiniest bit of pity, "El..I am so so sorry, If I knew you two were together I-"

"You don't get it, do you? Actually wait let me answer that...you don't. It's not the kiss that pissed me off Calum. It's the fact that the entire group treats me like some fucking baby-"

"El- that is not tr-"

"Let me finish dammit, I'm really fucking done with all of your bullshit. I'm not that weak little girl that you all found 6 months ago. You have no idea what I'm capable of," I growled. "Eleanor please let me-wait El, why is the barn on fire? WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE" He screamed.

I turned around and saw back doors mysteriously on fire. Calum grabbed my hand and pulled me out. We saw walkers being attracted to the fire.

"Come on! Let's go around and through the front of the house!" I shouted.

He nodded and we ran, we saw the others, probably looking for us,  I ran towards Luke first. He was the one I wanted to be with. I tackled him into a hug and I swear if we weren't about to be killed by walkers, I would've stayed in his embrace forever.

"Hey let's save our asses first then make up, yeah?"

"GUYS NOW IS NOT THE TIME LETS GO!" Ashton shouted.

We locked hands and ran into the forest.

We ran for what seemed like hours but was probably only a few minutes. It was difficult having Bella with us because she's only two but it was worth it to see her cute smile all the time.

This place looked oddly familier....Arden said she knew of this place but it gave out the vibe that I shouldn't be here.

"We're here!" She cheered a little too enthusiasticly

I stopped.

"No-no.." I shook my head backing up.

"El? What's wrong..? Aren't you excited to be here?" She devilishy smirked.

"El..what is she talking about..."

I grabbed her by the neck before she call them and raised my knife to her head.

"I swear to God, if you put my friends through that hell hole I will kill you."

No one stopped to hold me back. They were confused.

"Eleanor. What is this place." Ali growled.

"The keepers facility."

"Welcome to hell." Arden laughed.

Then darkness took over my body.
