Rachel's POV

"And I was like girl, you're only eleven, you should NOT be worrying if those jeans make your butt look fat or not!"

After getting done with our shopping for the Winter Formal, we realized that we were starving. Therefore, here we were seated at a table in the middle of the food court, waiting for someone to take our order. It had been ten minutes already and I was getting impatient. When it comes to food.. well, let's just say I have a weakness.

Lucy was telling us how two days ago, her 11-year old sister, Adrianna, was dressing up for a boy in her grade. Correction, TRYING to dress up. Apparently, Adrianna even came up to Lucy asking for condoms! Is THIS what young girls were worrying about these days?! WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?

"THAT'S IT! Can somebody take our order PLEASE?!" I got up banging my fists on the table. My little outburst caused a few people to glance over at our table. Old people shaking their heads disapprovingly, college guys doing the complete opposite. Only 10 seconds later, a waiter was heading towards our table.

"I'm sorry for the wait ma'am. What can I get for you?"

Lucy, Jane and I quickly gave our orders. Me ordering a Double Decker Chicken burger with fries, Jane a Fettucine Alfredo pasta, and Lucy just a bowl of salad. She claimed she was watching her weight, even though she was as skinny as a stick!

"So, Lucy, you were supposed to tell us about your special someone," began Jane, "Whose the lucky guy?"

Lucy shifted uncomfortably. It was obvious she didn't want to share her romantic interests with us.

I took that as my queue. "You know, if you don't want to tell us then you don't have to. You can tell us whenever you're ready." I smiled at her reassuringly which earned a grateful look from her side.

"What do you mean she doesn't have to? We're her best friends, ofcourse she has to tell us!"

"Don't I have a say in this? Like Rachel said, I'll tell you guys when I want to. Now, stop being so pushy Jane and drop it."

And just like that, the topic of our conversation was dropped. However, there was still a thick layer of tension in the atmosphere and none of us uttered a word to each other.

Our food arrived shortly and after finishing our meals, we got up to leave. That was when a guy from the group of college boys we saw earlier, came up to us.

"I couldn't help, but notice you earlier. You're feisty, just the way I like my women." His comment was directed towards me, and boy, was he invading my personal space.

I let out a casual laugh. "Well, sorry to burst your bubble pretty boy, but I have a boyfriend. Speaking of which, I have a date with him in a few hours. SO, if you don't mind you might want to back off."

He leaned into me and whispered seductively in my ear, "I'd rather be the one you cheat with, than the one you cheat on."

And just a few seconds later, he was on the floor, his hands in between his legs, screaming in pain.

Oh yeah, nobody messes with me.

I looked at myself in the mirror and was quite pleased with what I saw. Normally, I wasn't a huge fan of makeup, but today I wanted to look different. I'd done smokey makeup on my eyes and had applied red lipsitck. I was dressed in a red halter dress that came to my mid-thigh. I completed my look with matching heels. I let my wavy hair fall naturally across my back. I bet if Felicia dressed like that, she'd look like a hooker. Me? Well, I looked hot.
