When Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 2

Jason's POV.

So here I was sitting in the principal's office next to Zack. I managed to give him a black eye and trust me i had no regrets. He had no right to punch me just because I was flirting with his girlfriend. Uh.. Maybe he did. But still she's my best friend first. The guys in my class were able to break us apart during the fight and Rachel's expression clearly showed she was pissed off at both of us. The first thing she said to us after our encounter was not "Are you two okay?". It was "What the fuck was THAT?!". I chuckled at the memory and Zack shot me a death glare.

Principal Matthews said, "I guess I'm not going to suspend you just because of a minor fist fight.

You both have after school detention today. Hopefully you two will learn to behave in an appropriate manner next time."

"Why do I get detention?! He started it!" I said.

"And you punched him back. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't have all day for this so leave my office before I'm forced to give you detention for the whole week."

We quickly rushed out of the office and found Rachel waiting fpr us. Oh boy. We're dead.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO?!"

You two?! I replied, "Hey! He started it okay!"

"Rachel, can you seriously blame me? You can't expect me to be cool with some guy who talks to you like this."

"DUDE! She's my friend okay! If I wanted to bang her I would've done that a long time ago!"

"JASON!"

Zack was fuming. I could literally see the smoke coming out of his head..

"You know what Rachel? We'll talk about this later." And with that he walked off. I wanted to punch him again, but the hurt look on Rachel's face refrained me from doing so. 

"I'm sorry.."

"ONE THING. I asked you to do one thing and you couldn't even do that for me!"

"Okay fine. I'll apologize to your little boyfriend, but only on one condition."

"What?"

With a smile I said, "Let me make it up to you today"

The rest of the day passed just like all the other days. When it was time for lunch i made my way towards the cafeteria and got seated at my usual table filled with jocks and cheerleaders. Seated around me were Chad and Andy and a couple of other football players. In front of me were Lucy and Jane (Rachel's besties). Where were Rachel and Zack? Felicia strutted her way towards me. Soon she was straddling me and shoving her tongue in my mouth. I didn't feel any sparks, just the usual pleasure a 16-year old boy would get when he has a sexy blond (well, not blonde, but sexy nonetheless) sitting on his lap and feeling him up. I opened my eyes when I heard Rachel chuckle. She was with Zack and I clenched my fists. Felicia noticed and turned her attention towards the direction I was looking.

"Oh here comes the virgin slut." Felicia said, loudly.

The whole cafeteria fell to pin-drop silence as people tried to digest what they just heard.

"What did you just say?!" I said.

"What? Should I repeat myself? Gladly. I said 'Oh here comes the virgin sl-'"

She stopped in mid-sentence as Rachel slapped her right across the face.

"Says the Queen of whores herself. Hypocritical much now are we , Felicia?" replied Rachel.

Felicia started laughing. Is that girl insane? I caught a glimpse of the look of anger on Rachel's face and instantly knew that Felicia was going to be in big trouble.

"The truth hurts now doesn't it Rachel? You think I don't notice? You think ANYONE doesn't notice?"

Rachel had a confused look on her face. She wasn't the only one confused.

"Oh so we're playing dumb now are we? Let me make it clear for you. All of us know how you're playing with two boys at the same time. Calling both of them your 'bfs'. One your best friend, the other your boyfriend. This boy under me is so obviously in love with you." I quickly realized she was still on my lap so I shoved her off.

"Ha ha aww Jase, you can be so cute sometimes. So let me continue. This boy is so in love with you and still you want to put him through all your bullshit. You feel on top of the world don't you honey?"

"Get the fuck out of here before I make you regret you were born."

Nobody dared to say anything. It was like a scene from some movie where the protagonist and antagonist are having a battle. But this was definitely scarier. I wanted to say something in Rachel's defense, but I was speechless. My mouth had gone completely dry. What the hell was going on?! I wasn't in love with my best friend! Yeah I felt gross seeing her make out , but love was something beyond that.

Yet at the same time Felicia felt so sure of herself..

"Are you out of your senses Felicia? You need help 'honey'!"

"Whatever you say. Just don't get too comfortable at the top. People usually go there to see themselves fall. And trust me, you will fall."

And with a wink towards me, she made her towards the exit leaving all the students dazed and confused.

"Oh and just one more thing. This story has just begun."
