Calum woke up to 14 texts from Ashton. Desperate much.It turned out, as Calum read all the messages, that Ashton is planning to throw a party tomorrow and he's basically forcing Calum to come and socialize. Of course Calum's not going, but Ashton doesn't know that yet. Maybe Calum might show up for the first 20 minutes, and then ditch, just so Ashton won't get annoyed with him for not attending his 'crazy party' as Ashton liked to phrase it.
Ashton's not even the kind of guy to host parties though and Calum can't help but feel a little suspicious.
But as you probably tell by now, Calum really isn't a party kind of guy. He's more so the interrupt-my-Netflix-time-and-I-will-stab-you-with-my-spork kind of guy.
So while walking around the house and mulling over what he could possibly do for the rest of the day, he suddenly remembered that he could text that guy he met at his tree. Adam, wasn't it? No, that doesn't sound right. Darren? Wait no, Aaron. Okay, Calum has to admit that he's not good with names, don't judge too harshly.
Yeah, he could text Aaron and maybe make plans to meet up with him.
Yes, Calum's planning to meet up with an almost-total stranger. And yes, Calum is a little bit insane.
To
Aaron:
This is Calum Hood. Y'know, the weirdo you met at the tree in the park? Yeah. Anyways, I was wondering if you'd like to meet up for a coffee sometime or something? xxx
Maybe Calum went a small bit overboard with the kisses at the end, but whatever. Aaron probably won't even notice.
Calum occupied himself while waiting for a reply by playing one of the many stupid games downloaded on his phone.
Surprisingly, he got a reply only 5 minutes after he sent the text. Why does no one have any social life?
From
Aaron:
Oh hi Cal. A coffee sounds great, by the way. Tomorrow at lunch sound good? xxx
Well he noticed the kisses. Cool...
So, uh, apparently Calum has a date?~~~~~
{A day later}Coffee with Aaron was slightly awkward, but nice at the same time.
Aaron likes a lot of the band's that Calum likes so he's not that bad.
The insistent flirting was another thing though. Aaron wouldn't shut up about Calum's eyes (even though they don't have a colour) and how 'pretty' they were. There was also the moments where Aaron tried to hold Calum's hand and it just felt insanely awkward.
Like, don't get Calum wrong, Aaron's a decent guy, if not a little arrogant at times, but nonetheless lovely. But Calum feels like Aaron is trying to force some weird affection between the two of them and it's making Calum uncomfortable.
But, Calum pushes all these thoughts out of his head when he gets a phone call from Ashton.
Calum sighs in relief, thankful for the distraction from Aaron, and presses the answer button.
"Hey man, you coming to my party?"
Calum kind of saw this one coming. "Well, I mean, I don't necessarily want to go, but I'm not really being given a choice, so I kind of have to go."
"Would it help if I said that a certain breadstick would be there?"
"Ashton, my dear friend, you make less sense every time I talk to you. Do you mind telling me who this breadstick is?"
"I'm talking about Luke, silly! Would it help that Luke's going to be there?"
"No? Look, Ashton, you know that parties and I don't mix very well. So even if Luke'll be there, it doesn't really help."
"Well that's understandable I guess. You are are coming though, right?"
Calum inwardly groans, but replies with a very forced "yes".

A/n:
Okay I know it's short, and I know it's equally bad and yeah, this is just a really bad filler chapter. I'm also aware that my writing style has changed slightly since I first started this fic, but it's my first fanfiction so I know it's gonna be bad no matter how much I like to think I improve.Happy New Year though! I hope you all have a great year planned ahead of you!
I swear something sorta interesting will happen in the next chapter btw.
Peace ✌ (I sound like such a hipster. Help me)
