(This is still in third person but it's from Luke's perspective because I was getting bored of it being in just Calum's point of view oops. Oh and um, sort of an abusive relationship in this chapter)

Let's get this straight--okay maybe that's a pun, maybe it's not-- Luke Hemmings is not the kind of guy who has crushes. The word 'crush' is repulsive to him. He's not twelve, okay?

Yet, he can't stop thinking of a certain person.

This person has been plaguing his thoughts ever since he first saw (technically heard) them, and Luke doesn't like it. It wasn't love at first sight or anything, when Luke first saw him. No. In fact, it was a tad bit awkward. Luke didn't speak much, he just attempted to subtly stare at the gorgeous boy and try not to say something stupid when asked a question. This boy was so sweet, and funny and a small bit awkward. He was really att-- no, Luke's boyfriend would definitely disapprove, and Luke doesn't want to disappoint him.

Luke's boyfriend is a bit of a jerk at times. Sure, he's sweet and kind and caring when he wants to be, but then there's the times where he would scream at Luke, and start throwing things. He'd never throw them at Luke. No, he's never hurt Luke physically, so there's no bruises or scars. Everything's okay in that aspect.

He would hurt Luke mentally instead. That way, no one can see at first glance of the damage that had been dealt.

He just gets so angry sometimes. It could be over the smallest thing. For example; Luke forgot to call him, when he had promised he would, then his boyfriend shouted abuse at Luke for hours on end, and then suddenly, as if he was in a trance, snapped out of it and turned into that guy that everyone loves and adores. That was only a mask though, and it made Luke wonder why he was still dating him.

There are times though when Luke really loves him. The times when they'd fall asleep cuddled on the couch together and build pillow forts, and draw the ugliest picture of the other that they could and laugh so hard that they fell over in a tangle of limbs. Yeah, Luke liked that side of him. Luke would put up with all the shouting in the world to be with that part of his boyfriend.

Nowadays though, his boyfriend never really showed that compassion and caring anymore. It got to the point where Luke would lay on the bathroom tiles curled up in a ball sobbing.

This was when Luke knew he had to break it off between the two of them, yet he could never bring himself to do it. The most he'd do was tell him that they needed to take another break, which only lasted a month at most.

It was a relentless cycle, sure, but Luke didn't really mind.

Yeah, this chapter was really bad and short, but I figured I'd try to update frequently enough so...
